Starting as Egypt, when I found the capital city on the starting plot, it's called Akhetaten, although hovering over the plot results in the correct name Ineb-Hedj. Find attached the saves from before and after the founding.

hey Leoreth already told us that he doesn't have city names finished yet. It's not a bug, its just not finished.Playing as Germany in the 1700 scenario, the cities of Köln and Berlin have changed their names to Marburg and Wittenberg respectively.
Edit: Indeed, cities keep being renamed from their given names to some map-based names. Berlin to Wittenberg, Wien to Linz and so forth.
Saves please. It is difficult to do anything concrete just based on this observation.I'll follow up with more detail but suffice to say for now that several Conqueror events are triggering no where close to intended tiles. I can summarize a few: Mongols>Byz = armies spawn north of Black Sea. Mongols>Arabia = at least one army routinely spawn on a tile surrounded by desert. British and Spanish include Jerusalem as a target.
Don't start the game from "Play Scenario" or clicking on the scenario files. Use "Play Now".Hi, I downloaded the new versión of 1.17 and the 1.18 one but I can't make the game recongnize the scenarios (it takes them as txt). I tried with the Notepad++ (as it appears in another forum) but it's the same.
I just played Portugal and can confirm that. Had no Idea what tiles I need to get the percentage up.Portuguese Indian Trade Route sea tiles are no longer labelled at all in hover tool-tips. They are still calculated toward UHV goal. The display functioned as intended before branches were merged if that helps.
Happens for me as well on starting 600 AD from Play NowI'm getting this error sometimes trying to start games. I can't identify a particular thing that causes it, appears random. Causes a crash as soon as autoplay starts. Hopefully this is helpful...
Spoiler :
What is the bug? The refusal to talk never was a bug, it's intentional. There was a bug I fixed a while back that made the refusal last much longer than intended. I checked the code and the fix is still in place. The refusal to talk bug after flipping cities as a newly-spawned civilization seems to be back, at least when I played as America in the new map.
I started as the Chinese in 600 AD after choosing “random”. Then chose Khmer to confirm it wasn’t an issue with preloaded civs. Just wanted to see the 600 AD map. Did not try with 1700Is there a particular choice of options (scenario, civilization) that triggers this error?
Thanks! Great job!Don't start the game from "Play Scenario" or clicking on the scenario files. Use "Play Now".
How long is the refusal to talk period meant to last? A hundred turns after spawn in marathon, the refusal remains. What is the bug? The refusal to talk never was a bug, it's intentional. I did some more poking around regarding this - seems to only happen in the 600 AD and 1700 AD scenarios. Consistently happened over ~10 attempts to start 600/1700 AD games. Civs with no autoplay in those scenarios spawn with no techs after getting this error, but the game doesn't crash. Civs with autoplay CTD.I'm getting this error sometimes trying to start games.
