As my post in the "Installation" thread also notes, I made absolutely sure EUI is installed correctly.
My Steam install is on my D: drive and the installer didn't correctly pick that up and just dumped the folder onto my C: drive, that should really be re-examined IMHO as not everyone has their CivV installed onto C:.
So I grabbed the manual install archive and am doing it all manually and everytime I try EUI there are major bugs with it. Thankfully my current playthrough without it shows CPP to be a very solid and enjoyable experience.

I found my CvMiniDump.dmp but I can't seem to open it or upload it. It's telling me that the archive is either in unknown format or damaged when I try to open it.

I've found in my current game the Production queue and building specs columns shows the following text in all cities that have the "Civilized Jeweler's Office":

Did you delete the LUA folders from the Community Patch and the Community Balance Patch folders after installing manually?

Also, to everyone who posted their minidumps since the 12/18 patch: I'm sorry to say that they can't be properly looked at anymore due to the many changes and fixes in the code that Ilteroi has made since that moment. Some of them may be resolved in the upcoming version, though, while others may not. If you still experience crashes with the next version - post your minidumps again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

No! What purpose does that serve? What's in the LUA that needs to be removed?
Does this mean to install it correctly you must first install everything and then remove the LUA depending on what components you select? Seems a bit backward if that's the case.

All I did was remove everything and then installed manually on the assumption everything in the archive is needed. Of course choosing which Part 6 to install depending on using or not EUI.

Does this mean to install it correctly you must first install everything and then remove the LUA depending on what components you select? Seems a bit backward if that's the case.

All I did was remove everything and then installed manually on the assumption everything in the archive is needed. Of course choosing which Part 6 to install depending on using or not EUI.

It's to make the thing modular, let people choose which pieces to use without having 20 different installers. It is in the installation instruction :D.

If you're using if you're using CBP you remove the lua folder in the CP folder, if you use the compatibility files you have to remove the lua folders in both the CP folder and the CBP folder.

I've just retried this again numerous times and when only CP & CBP are selected, sometimes with More Luxuries, the EUI craps out on me in varying ways. The latest errors are now to do with no production queue on the initial city founding.


My logs are showing numerous errors that relate to this but I am not sure why this small set of mods are bugging out for me and no one else.

If you want to use EUI with CP and CBP, you have to use the EUI for CBP version, and you have to use CSD and C4DF along with it (also More Luxuries and the EUI-Compatibility mod). Delete LUA folders in CP and CBP, enable all, clear cache, and it should work.

Hey G, thanks, that piece of information is a bit obscure in the description IMO. If EUI can't be used alongside CP & CBP that might be a bit of a bummer. :eek:
However I've just found something curious that might be related. The installer version for CP & CBP along with EUI seems to work whereas the manual install from those zip files isn't.

Are you sure the archives contain exactly the same files as the installer(s)?
 
See my answer to ExpiredReign above. If that doesn't work, I'd suggest wiping clean your mods folder and reinstalling them again (clearing cache along the way) or even reinstalling civ.

Thank you! I'm pulling back my bug report, my cursor problem was either due to the 3d functionality of my NVIDIA driver or due to having 2 displays connected to my graphics card. On of these solved the issue.
 
Just played a Polynesia game and noticed that their galleass were losing their ability to cross oceans when I hit a particular tech. I had a good ranged ship stuck on a tiny island for ages, then when it could finally move away it ended up getting stuck in the middle of the ocean for another 30 turns.
 
Hello All,
I've been happily playing Civ5 with the Community Patch and all of its approved mods for several months now & it's made Civ alive again! So thank you very much for all of your hard work, Gazebo. Unfortunately, I've had a bug recently. At around 500 BC, all of my cities begin to loose the ability to build anything. The Production screen is blank and one can't build anything. It effectively ends the game since it usually happens to my capital. I've tried deleting and re-installing the game with no effect. Any ieads about what might be going wrong?:confused:

Unfortunately, I've had a bug recently. At around 500 BC, all of my cities begin to loose the ability to build anything. The Production screen is blank and one can't build anything. It effectively ends the game since it usually happens to my capital. I've tried deleting and re-installing the game with no effect. Any ieads about what might be going wrong?:confused:

Sounds like a lua bug related to your install. If you have logging enabled, post lua.log from logs folder. If not, enable logging, open game and try to open city, then post lua.log.

With the latest (Dec. 29th) version of the base CP, my units seem to be able to walk on mountains - I am presuming this is unintended. I used the new installer and such, which cleared my cache - so I'm not sure what the issue could be.
 
Just played a Polynesia game and noticed that their galleass were losing their ability to cross oceans when I hit a particular tech. I had a good ranged ship stuck on a tiny island for ages, then when it could finally move away it ended up getting stuck in the middle of the ocean for another 30 turns.

Which version are you on?

Perhaps its possible to save it.

I enabled, played and got stuck at 1200 BC. Attached (I think) is the lua log. When you have a minute to take a look at it , let me know what you think might be the problem. Thank you!!!

I tried playing without the 6 Community modules and was able to have a successful (although boring) game. I then tried a different strategy; e.i different civilization & social policy, but still lost the ability to choose production in my capital. I'm attaching the first and second lua.log. It sounds like Rolster over in the "How To Install" feed is having the same issue.

On the latest version (12-18), after playing some turns, all the diplomacy buttons disappear and the right hand panel with rival and citystate list becomes messed up. This might happen after loading the game from save, but not entirely sure of that.

This mod looks cool, but none of my games have gotten past t150 due to game blocking bugs. :(
