Seems like a really inconsistent way for that to work. I get how it functions this way, but seeing all these improved luxuries go dead for the next 60 turns until my religion spreads to a majority of cities makes me question why it functions this way. And thank Zoroaster I'm not near another religion or I might never see the benefits of that early Stonehenge again :/

I'll see about modifying this. Pantheons will global effects are tricky to manage.

Okay I hate to say this after your quick response, but after spreading my religion to ALL my cities, the Goddess of Festivals pantheon is still not functioning.
 
The new CP mod solely activated (nothing else) causes also my game to crash to desktop in 'configuring game data' screen after selecting mods - sometimes even without activation just in the Mods menu! I see no traces in the lua.log, nor in the Database.log. Unfortunately I cannot even provide them before Monday, as I'm off my computer this weekend. The issue came when I updated 8-29 into 9-9.
 
Well, I installed all the mods of the page "CP-How to Intall" (less H&P, because it does'nt work with EUI). All map features appear as food (at least all production and gold). Does anyone know how to fix?

No worries. As I said, pantheons with player wide abilities are tricky to get functioning, as that's generally a function area exclusive to founder/enhancer beliefs.

Did you follow all instructions? Deleting CP and CBP lua folders?

What's weird is I'm almost positive Goddess of Festivals used to work just fine after founding a religion... I almost always grab that panth if I can.

Rewrote some base-level code for performance, probably had an unintentional knock-on effect. DLL work is like trying to tame an angry hydra.

If you choose to play with complete hidden resources you effecively don't see them on the map but if you construct a town on a resource it appears in the list of your resources and is vanilla exploited.

For example I did construct a town on a silver without knowing and, as soon as I discovered mining (not trad, simply mining) I was able exchange my silver :)

Yep, is side-effect. Hidden does not mean unusable.

I upgraded to v9-9 today and I am getting a CTD right after I setup a new game (= before the screen with text about my chosn civ) if I select the Communitas map and increase the number of AI civs even by 1 (e.g. Huge 12 => 13 civs).

The game does not crash if I only increase the number of CS (even up to 41), and I managed to setup a game with increased number of civs on Continents Plus map without CTD.

I can see other people are getting CTDs, but it seems their conditions are different from mine. Is anyone having the same problem with the Communitas map???


I reinstalled CP and CBP and it started working. I probably messed something up before when I was meddling with the xml and sql files or it was a mod conflict.

You are not alone, this happens to me too.Although I am using YnAMEP and Huge Earth is my map.Crashes happen at random, sometimes it's after 50 or so turn, sometimes it takes above 100 or even more but one thing is certain, game will crash at some point and it will keep to do so, no matter how many times I reload.

And as you said it doesn't matter how many AI civ you add.I usually play with 22 and I though that might be the cause, if my pc hardware resources are stretch, however upon closer inspection ,I saw they weren't, because cpu and memory were around 40-60% and gpu didn't get over 60%.

Then I disabled all mods, expect CP/CPB/C4DF/CSD/E&D and tried on LE (huge communitas map pack) with 13 civs and ther it goes after some time game CTD.This began to happen ever since v9-6 I believe, I didn't have this problem before.


Edit:Now, I would provide logs but I didn't notice debugging is disabled and unfortunately I can't.

Edit2 :Nevermind, I solved a problem, it was on my end after all.
 
installed all listed mods (CP, CBP, CSD, CDP, E&D, H&P), cleared cache and ensured the LUA folder is deleted from the two mod folders ... so i hope everything is set up smooth, but:

game loads, first turn i found my city and can't construct anything. all buttons work as intended, i can move around my units and science is doing fine - only that i can't end turn 1 because i can't make the city build something :(

is that a common thing maybe and i just got abandoned by the search engine?

thanks, dunno how this could have slipped by unattended. unfortunately the issue remains (cleared cache again after nuking the EUI folder in the DLC folder)

got another idea why i fail?

/edit: also replaced the CBP compatibility mod with the non-EUI version

/edit2: found the issue myself: i for some unknown reason had the EUI files in the following folder tree as well: /assets/dlc/expansion2/dlc/ - deleted and it seems to work now :)
 
This was fixed in the 9-9v2. Make sure you are using that version (is savegame compatible).

Ah, brilliant, thanks! Completely missed the release of v2...

Another thing I have noticed, though: The Zulu UU, the Impi, will move out of a city/fort if it kills an enemy unit with its Spear Throw attack.
 
I want to convey my appreciation for the excellent Exploration Continued Mod. I also wish to express my sincere wish that the AI could be taught how to use it.

It is most frustrating playing on Terra Maps and to find myself, time and time again, the only civilization with any interest in colonizing the new world.

I've tried many tweaks of my own to try to coax the AI into expanding to the New World (including use of the Aggressive and Expansive AI Mod). Though the AI will eventually get to the New World, its progress there is excruciatingly slow. It is far too easy for me to sweep it of all the bonuses and to claim the best territory without competition.
 
new problem: the tech tree is acting up when trying to go past drama/philosophy/engineering/currency. i can't click any of these researches and therefor can't end my turn (breaks the game).

did i miss something?
 
Make sure you have logging enabled, and yes, once the game has crashed, post your database.log and lua.log files.

Is this the thread where I report CTD when I click the button to see what the computer would like in return when trying to make a trade? I saw it on a thread but I'm not sure which one......also I'm CTD'ing shortly after turn 100 consistantly. I'm not sure how much help my logs would be because I use a lot of mods.
