Random crash to desktop when moving a Fire Thrower next to some Barbarians. Didn't get any kind of error message, just instant game close.

Thanks for the report. The main errors in logs is related to the health system. Not sure if this is causing crash as it appears multiple times before actual crash happens, however the health system has been updated, and hopefully we can upload updated mod soon.

Gilga is much better at spotting errors in logs than I am though, and may notice something else.

This one is a new error didnt see it before will look why its happening.

I guess its the old problem with the city view.

Hello i found pretty wierd bug. After 200+ turns i get EVERY round prophet(always from one city but sometimes from 2-x cities) I dont lost faith or anything else after that.. just free prophet - Even when i dont settle my own religion (i tried it twice) EVEN when i dont have enough faith.
I am using only CCTP info addict and WDLL)

Balance suggestion - There is still problem with AI i have to play atleast on immortal in other way is AI too weak. Because AI in first two or three ages in debt and cant produce technologies. (It is hard to settle new cities,or upgrade titles or send caravans and there are lot of hard-maintance things - buildings and early units -so AI has always negatice income (in early game) and thats way i can easily overtech it.
How to fix it ?
Pretty easy - just remove FOR AI ONLY 100% penalization for negative income in producing technologies.
But it could be only problem for me because i play without barb and city-states (in long game are both dead and only delayed game)

Sorry for bad english :) I would like give you more information but i cant play right now (i have 25 cities and i get every round 1-10 prophets which makes me crazy)
 
Did you enable a faith specialist? I found that caused this to happen for me in this build. The faith specialist has been updated for next release, and hopefully problem is fixed.

If not, then there is another bug to look for :crazyeye:

BTW, in the next version the barbs will be a little different, they will change by era from savages in first era to aliens by the last ones, and will be spawned in different areas w/o encampment.

Well sorry but this no easy fix, unless i missed something, there is no option for this.
Ai behavior is in most parts hardcoded, this means there is a great workarround needed to achieve this point.

What i can do, is increase the ai gold behavior.

Will look what i can do to avoid the negative income.

For the Prophet, Gyogen pointed this bug already, hopefully it will gone in the next update.

Another ideas : remove maintance from early ages buildings or add new unit barter merchant (it could be ancestor of caravans) - cant be send to foreign countries or city states.

I beg on knees for one thing could be posibble to add tech (religious unfreedom or religious freedom) or diplomacy options to ban or allowed free move in foreign countries for prophet or missioner ? I dont like religious wars in late game (i have to surrounded all my cities with units so they cant convert me but its pretty annoying )

From what I can tell, the free movement of prophets/missionaries is hard coded. There might be a way around this, but it could take some work.

Another option maybe would be to create a sort of "holy guard" unit that could act as a garrison in city and also prevent spread.

Well i already updated the cost for the handicaps of the ai.
This means buildings and units will be a lot cheaper for them.
Also tweaked several flavors to try to improve the ai in the parts, but this will need testing.
The part with the religious units is also a hardcoded feature firaxis gifted to us.
One tipp let always a Inquisitor in each of your cities, this should stop other ais to convert them.

I'm only running v63 of the dll and CCTP. I did have EUI installed before installing CCTP but I uninstalled it because it seemed to be causing conflicts. Although I deleted my mod cache and verified everything else so there shouldn't be any remnants of EUI hanging about I would think.

So I tried loading the game and the crash doesn't seem to be caused by the fire thrower, it reliably seems to crash when I end the turn. Here's my savegame:

did you also delete you moduserdata?
 
Sorry, I would have responded earlier, but I had to go to work for a bit. I think I found what triggered the crash, now the hard part is figuring out why.:crazyeye:

No rush! I'll maybe try starting a new game as a different civilization and see if I run into the same problem.
 
Up until late renaissance/industrial, the only problem apart from missing text (all leaders have no name in diplomacy, using standard whoward dll) was, that sooner or later, all port city graphics disappeared.
I assume this bug is caused by a the construction of a certain building, but due to the horrendous time it takes to load a savegame, could not find out wich one. Going digital has screwed my espionage, as i cannot do anything there anymore. Today i loaded the game to find even more problems:
- All city graphics have a messed up upper part, there is a white stripe instead of the city name.
- All cities offer me to attack an enemy, wich doesn´t exist.
- All my spies are killed.

Game is huge map, normal speed, 2 upt.

Thanks for the report. and I'll have a look. It would also help when something goes odd to post the logs, as they are rewritten every time you start, and may show what went wrong in the first place.
