Bug Reports

We found the reason for the game setup, should be fixed in next version.
We added a lua that only lets you get settler/scout from goody if you are able to build one.
Many of the resources are only visible once you have the related tech and policy.
Gilga has been working on most of the other issues and balancing.

We also added a couple other luas to balance a few things, such as too many golden ages etc, and there will be quite a few new features in next version.

Thanks for the input, it is always helpful, and hopefully most will be resolved by next release.

ps. Gilga has added a lot of icons, and we have tried working some on text fixes, a lot of the text in game was written by people for whom English is not their primary language, so you'll have to excuse that.

@ PawelS

Thanks for the input.

Like Gyogen said point 1. and 2. are fixed in the next version.

To point 3. iam not sure if this is correct iirc i dont added multiple beliefs, the only fact iam aware of are that every civ can take a bonus belief.

4. If this happends then you have probably a corrupted version of CCTP.
The last civ patch breaked a core file.

5. Like point 4. , if i start a test run every resource is placed, all new resources are included into the resource generator we use. (I see them always when i check the lua logs for errors:lol:)

6. Thanks i will look into it.

7. Probably there is no faith cost entry for this unit.

8. IIRC this was already mentioned and i fixed it, but i will look into the file to be sure.

9.The nomadic policy branch grants one trade route, this can be the reason for the ai trade routes.

Yeah missing icons and a bad english, what should i say

Maybe that i created over 600 new icons extra for CCTP over the last weeks and that the text will be overworked after all entries are finished.

Better a broken english, then a complete german version of CCTP i guess;)

I wonder if it was reported, but most AI Civ takes policies from both mutually excusive branch. Which is either cheat or waste.

Any example what policies you mean?
Or can you please post your logs, so that we can figure out why this happends, and if the ai just select them because of the flavors or what ever.

Not read the whole thread - but glad resources are getting sorted out - I like the idea of policies unlocking resources as well...choices to be made and so on...but could a wonder/worker/scout also make them appear.

thinking bout it a 'look for resources in this hex ' button could be good for a scout/hunter.

Lots of cavemen in prehistoric era...getting past a city state with one is tough.

I barely notice any CTDs...no errors...just happens when I take a break.

Faith colossal - 5-6 GPs during prehistoric era.

Could the prehistoric era play differently to later eras? ancient civs might feel better is they built and teched a little bit more on Rails...breeding cavemen who work out fire and other techs until something is built to give a leader the power to choose - Cogniciense? awareness of time perhaps.

Absolutly brilliant Mod...really looking forward to the next version!

In the upcoming version the prehistoric era is huge expanded.
Will contain ca 55-60 technologies many new wonders, building, policy branches and units.
There will be also a new yield system, so that you need to discover technologies to get additional yields for desert i.e.

Also some many units get a prerequested building, and a lot of the early resources will be linked to the policy branch survival you be shown.

For your suggestion with the worker, i guess it can be done via lua, but since iam very busy with other parts and also not a lua guru, we would need help with it.

The issues with the GB is a bug, hopefully it will be removed with the next version.

Sounds good. Will homo erectus (or the last step before sapiens) make an appearance?

Well done for keeping such a massive mod up to date...I'm actually enjoying not knowing exactly what I am doing - Feels like how mankind actually developed!

Will homo erectus (or the last step before sapiens) make an appearance?

Not really, since each civ starts with a city, this would just a cosmetic change.

But for a longer term, when we manage to hide the starting city and have more units/resources with art work, we will include it.

For now we start 12000bc....

Thanks for the cheers;)

First: Thanks for the new version and all your effort.

Bug from turn one: The Xeno Titan is available in the build list from the start. This might be the reason for the Siege Worm within the first babarian camp I stumbled upon

Edit: The game spawns Manticores, Wolf Beetles, Raptor Bugs and so on in the prehistoric age.

Thanks for the report we now it already;)

There was a problem with merging some files together.

Merry christmas: Did you check the graphics on different resolutions? On mine in techtree all the new icon are bad: They are slightly too big, and in most case instead of having a circle with something in it in the middle they contain parts of two circle.

Yes i checked them all on many resolutions, and also i posted some pictures of them in another thread time ago.

To be honest i have no real clue what is causing this, but i guess there must be a problem when Gyogen compressed this icons .

In my 950mb version all icons looks fine but in the 560mb version they are alll messed up.

BTW i looks like all non vanilla icons are messed up, :crazyeye:

I didn't realize extra options were selected in the zip program I used, causing the extra compression of files. I have fixed and re-uploaded build. The icons should work properly now.

Because I'm not sure how many other files it effected besides icons, I think it would be better to re-download the mod now as opposed to posting a fix file for the icons.

I have the latest version now with fixed icons, but my tech tree is still totally broken :(.
