Hi guys.

Civ is crashing now that I have installed the latest version of the CCTP mod (3.95, as updated on 22 September).

I have crashed twice so far.

I have made sure to delete both the cashe and modusers folders, and have deleted all the mods in the mods folder and started again fresh before I installed the latest version.

After the first crash, I made sure to erase the cashe and modusers folders again.

Still crashed again.

I've attached the logs.

Looking forward to playing this new version :)

Anyone that does NOT have the Polynesia DLC:-
Once CCTP is installed, before you boot up CiV, navigate to the CCTP mod directory and rename the DLC folder so it looks like "_DLC"

Actually, it is not just literature, it is whenever it goes to the next turn, everything just locks up completely and I have to go to task manager. Going from turn 600 to 601 causes everything to freeze no matter how it is manipulated.

How do you mean crashes? Your logs are empty.

Oops. I didn't remember to check the beginning of this thread for enabling logging. Next time the problem occurs I will send you the logs, now that I have modified the config file.

Yes, Civilization crashes with the usual windows error dialog saying that the application has unexpectedely closed.

As I mentioned, it has happened twice. After the second time, I loaded from a save game from the same turn in which the error ocurred (turn 82) and continued without problems.

So, I don't know for sure if the error has anything to do with the new version.

I think Macs have a character limitations on the length of paths/filenames so I think this might be the problem, only reason I know this is because I was modding CCTP on a mac sometime back and hit this problem.

Why 335d doesn't have this problem I don't know? Maybe a very short computer name?
 
Thanks Fires, that worked. Big change in research times and happiness now. Went from 28 happy to 82 on the update.

You know a way to fix it? At least for Civ.
 
If it is the problem than you can reduce the folder names and update the modinfo, it is a long shot though. Also make sure you using the latest version on my github.
 
Found the cause of the random CDT, if a farm is built on any of the new resources then a worker goes to change it to the right improvment causes a CDT.

Was this not a problem in civ 5 at some time, seem to remember reports where replacing farms caused a crash.

Cant see much searching the forums other than this mod has also experienced it.

Edit:

Only happens to resources that have a PrereqTech, cant build farms over a seen resource, bit anoying the "BuildableOnResources" is ignored for un seen resources :(
 
Weird bug. Tried playing a custom game, on the CCTP map. I start the game as americans, but i dont get any units to begin so i instantly lose. I tried to make a new game, but it crashes right before the load screen into play. on v3a, civ 5 version .....705
