on the CCTP map

What map one of the 8 Custom Earth maps or a Random mapscript? If it is the later....Make sure you actualy pick a map type, i.e: Continents Plus. If the former....shout for Firesforever :)
 
Seems like the bug with making an improvement over a farm still causes crashes. Tried with a great scientist for academy and a G.engineer for manufactory. Both crashed. On v3A

I think that we should make a farm replica, exactly identical to the old, but with a different XML tag and artdefine. This should solve about 90% of the bugs plaguing CCtP at the moment.

Thats dam odd, I tested and tested the improvments to make sure it was all a okay.

CCTP version 3a crashed today, and this time I've got loging enabled, so the logs are attached.

I'm not sure what was happening at the time of the crash, but it does not seem to be related to removing inprovements on hexes with custom resources. The crash ocurred while I was waiting for the game to finish the processing the turn.

After I load up the autosave, the game proceeds without problems (for the time being).

@Horem: Do you think you will be able to completely replace the farm improvement with something else? as 335d said. Maybe this is the only realistic solution as devs will probably take ages to fix it.

Yeah its possible, tried it with the Pasture and Camp graphic and it seems to work okay, just looks a bit odd. As to making a whole new Farm improvement, im loathe to try tbh since my 3d modeling skills are well below novice :), and a reskin will prolly just be broken like the vanilla farm, farms seem to ignore the whole reload landmark system, which I think is why they cause crashes.
 
So after some testing decided to go with the Polder improvement(looks closest to farm) scaled down 20%, wheat im afraid will have no "special" improvement art, lesser of the two evils :D
 
Seems we are getting dll access with the fall patch so hopefully we can figure out how to do a proper fix then :) polder looks quite nice though so no real big loss

My github is now upto date with horems fix so test away :)

One of the AI most likely caused that crash changing a farm to somthing else, sad to say this bug is not limited to humans :(, although its now fixed in v3b.
 
Would you be able to reskin the Polder so it looks less like, well, a Polder?

I already tried that, doesnt change, so im guessing it is linked to the same system as the Animal/Wheat resources.
 
I'm not sure if that is a bug but are Polder supposed to lock that funny on industrial age?

Bug:

I researched the tech for Archers but I couldn't buy or produce them. Which makes it pretty unplayable.

noticed a few minor bugs during my playthrough:
An AI Leader asked me to stop buying land near his and I said no but now he tells that I broke my promise not to buy more land every few turns (I get both diplomatic penaltys for breaking my promise and ignoring him).
Next was that farm graphics don't show if there are resources (I think you know that ;)).
Last one that my advisors ignore that I don't have the tech to see and improve squids.

Also research is a bit too slow on marathon and I haven't had a single crash even after 1000 turns.

Good Morning,

I downloaded the V3b version of the mod, and am getting the white screen of death after I select it and the DLC support.

I select the mod, and hit the the button to go to the next screen and the game crashes.... I have made sure everything is up to date.... tried it with and without the dlc support.....

anyone else seen this?

Logs are imcomplete(not all there) and empty taboot.

Get steam to re validate all your files, clear Cache and Moduser folders. Also make sure you only have 1 copy of the Mod in you Mods folder.
 
logs are empty because the game never got off the mod selection screen.

I ended up having to delete everything Civ 5 on my PC and reinstall EVERYTHING to get this fixed....
