I live two doors down from a kebab shop, and within 5 minutes walk from no less than 4. I had a donner kebab on Saturday :)
You're spelling it "donner"? That means "thunder" in German.
And no, I didn't know that the Brits even know of the existance of this food.
Basically, every other meal is stale and nasty in comparison with a well-made Döner I believe.

It's doner in England. I prefer the sheek (diced lamb) or chicken ones to doners though. Turkish food.

I once saw a sign in a kebab shop window in London which said:

"If you can read this sign, you probably aren't drunk enough to want a kebab" ;)

Ahh, hmm, "well made"... I'm not so sure about that... There are good kebab shops and bad kebab shops, but most of them in this country are bad. The ones around me are not too bad, though, and tend to put a little effort in, cooking them in onion or with a tomato base or something.

As I understand it, kebabs on the continent are much more "meal" than "fast food", right?

EDIT: x-post. Yes, that's right, I can't spell foreign words :p

Everybody knows what gyros are dude.

This is quite funny

But there are better ones which say "I would like someone to help themselves to my kebab after my death" but I couldn't find that on google.

Turkey slices with a sortiment of spices, all well-grilled but yet juicy, garnished with sweet onions in the meat, together with tomatoes and red cabbage while the percentage of the meat is still the majority, all stuffed between a roasted, crispy sesame pita...that's a Döner.
Very tasty, actually healthy and you're full for hours after eating one of those babies.

Hmm they are not like that in England (or Northern Cyprus which is Turkish), it's lamb that has had something done to it.

I prefer turkey 'cause it's cheaper.
Anyway, what I was trying to express is that Fast Food in general is crap. Not just ordinary crap, but rather overpriced, unhealthy one too. When I order something at McDonalds, I know that it shouldn't taste so good, but it does, despite being food which is in terrifyingly bad quality. So I really attempt to limit my visits to some of the various Fast Food restaurants 'round here just for once in a week max.

Burger King, by a very, very, very long shot. Not only are the fries better, but McDonalds is an evil international conspiratorial corporation!

And besides, as stated above, Ronald McDonald looks waaaay more creepy than the King. At least the King looks like a normal human being, albeit a slightly odd one...

Ronnie is one creepy, sadistic, perma-smiling psychopath who likes eating meat and is always looking out for the company of some bystanding kids in my imagination and that's not going to change any time soon.

It depends on what I feel like eating. I think Burger Kings' fries are awesome. But McDonalds produces better cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets. I don't consider hygiene however because they're both equally gross.

Where I'm at; for me Burger king is cheaper by about two bucks.

I don't care for either, and don't really like burgers at all so only the fries and ambiance matter. Although neither is good, Burger King isn't as bad as McDonalds.
