Erik, the quote isnt mine, but from a radio talk show host named Michael Savage. Also, I am referring to the news media in the USA which consists of a bit more than just cable news (do you know what a newspaper is?).

Living outside of the USA doesnt really put you in a position to just the bias of American media either Erik. I would humbly submit that I am much more well positioned to view it than you are.

I don't see why. Lots of journalism schools publish paper after paper showing that this "liberal bias" is either vastly overstated, or a myth alltogether. You assume that "the media" is a single group, sitting together somewhere and plotting against the president or something. There are thousands of groups in print media with different viewpoints, and most of the important stories come from the AP, which is printed in everything (from the NY times (liberal), to the Washington Times (far right), and is fairly objective.

The only "bias" would be in editorial boards. I bet for every "liberal" mainstream newspaper you can think of Mobboss, I can name a "conservative" one.

Then we will have to disagree Matt. Print media, in particular, is recognized as having a pronounced left spin. Btw, graduate schools themselves are supposed to have a liberal bent to them as well, so what stance would you expect from a jounalism school?

Also, I would bet you would lose that contest Matt, but at the moment it surely sounds to tedious for either of us to try.:)

I'm willing to leave it at that....but I would expect journalism schools to teach journalism, and to study it. I mean...sheesh, writing off colleges and those who work in media...does everybody with credentials become suspicious to you? What institutions to do you trust? Its odd to me.

I didnt ignore your link. It just wasnt worth commenting on. Its a self-described progressive activist organization whose mission it is to protect journalists. Of course its in their best interests to convince people there is no bias. Btw, your household (i.e. Parents?) subscribes to two entire newspapers...gee, I dont see how I could have questioned your obviously deep knowledge of american media.

As for me being a poopyhead - I saw a pic of you in the Gal Civ II forum. You have no call to label me poopyhead in light of your baby fat chubby cheeks and poopyhead hair yourself.:D

Recognized by whom?

There are certainly enough outlets with all kinds of slants for anyone's interests.

Though hating Dubya is hip and cool, and generally accepted by the idiots on these forums, I don't hate the president because it's popular, unlike you.

No no no no no! Bush is waste of a man. Also, waste of money, time and, most importantly, peoples lives.

I HATE HIM

Hate is such a strong word. I dont support the president policies or the war in iraq but i dont hate him. Although i find his black and white view of global politics distasteful.

I wonder how much of the 'no' vote is hate and how much of it is disagreement with policies.
