C2C Civpedia Background (Vote)

The old one?

Maybe the user could configure this and other background images in the BUG Options. The same way as I can configure which music to play in the standard options.

I like the Teepees, by the way.

There needs to be some way for users with reading issues for low contrast/high noise (DH) to disable backgrounds, whatever we do. Having said that, I like all the backgrounds so far presented, so I think the default should be to include them. Ideally a background that changes with (the player's current) era. Thus when you start off you might get the tipis (ideally that would come it more at ancient, but it isn't terrible for prehistoric), and later (modern?) it would switch to the planetscape. In an ideal world we'd have a new image for each era...

PS - if it came down to a single image that could be included for V33, I'd vote for the planetscape

Now that is really something to work with, and i agree, each era "ought" to have its own background.

I wonder IF platyping could figure out how to make that happen, what say you??

If I can make a civ specific background, obviously I can make an era specific background :D

Just look at the codes and adjust it to alter depending on era instead.
With so many python modders in C2C, should be easy.

Actually only one active python person in C2C, thats Dancing Hoskuld, AIAndy is doing RL right now, thats it.

The codes are already set up such that it will display backgrounds according to civ selected.
Naturally it is just change of one or two lines to change according to leader, era, whatever.

As such, I don't bother to do repeative jobs and more because the misc (XML, finding pictures, making movies, C&P into every python screen file) is more tedious than the python coding :D
