C2C - Event Ideas

We can put a marker in the code that when set to true entire map from AI perspective will be recalculated by the end of turn. This marker would be set when.

1 New volcano appears and its plot is choke point.
2 Fussion bomb was used and destroyed choke point.
3 Other circumstances that change terrain and destroys choke point.

After Map recalculation entire choke points table shold Be also recalculated.
 
I love your mod I love all of you, now this is my idea.

I will bring little activism in this..

Liberar Crime Squad ( who gets that, he deserves cookie ) [ Req. some modern era techs, and use of many "evil" buildings toxic waste dump etc. ]

Many activists are starting to show their refuse on current system by starting "Resistance" campain against "evil" goverment

Do nothing: Unrests in city, crime +5 per turn, brings city closer to "revolution" state. +4 unhappiness. This will remove after 50 turns.

Speak to them [Req. charisma trait or idealistic or other..]: 50% chance to stop event ( based on strenght of culture influence) if stop didnt occured will half all effects stated above.

Send da troops [Req. some dictatorship civics,( I do not know all civics Im new in C2C]:
Triggers revolt in city for one turn but after that: 2+ empire stabilty, unhappiness +1 in all cities, unhappiness +2 in city where event occured. And 25% of food made this turn is lost (To simulate killed civilians )

Accept their terms: Destroying of some bad buildings and reducing commerce for more health in city.

I know this is not very balanced but thats why I post it here.
 
Interesting idea. I'm not the event guy but whoever feels they ARE could comment perhaps. Or we could simply invite you to master the crafting of events and join us ;)

It's any particular reason that only some events got picture when event window pop-up?
 
I presume that file which is ressponsible for add graphic to the event is this file
CIV4EventTriggerInfos.xml

and tag is:
<EventArt></EventArt>

Ok if everything is right then give me green light and I start working about these images.

Can you look at FfH2 and see how they made thier images, they are not just the plain single edged ones like everyone else has, they have like a framed but its not a framed edge on them, thx.

Definitely, i can't figure out HOW they did that, just looks great to me at least.

I also have three title images like this, that needs to be done also, but like i said, i cant even get the correct image size done:blush:

The example i had is in the "art" area listed here: civ4_title_small, I know FfH2 has a few more and i need them to see if i can get the change done for when a person looks into certain screen areas, they see These images, rather than the boring Civ IV stuff.
 
These small images can be done too. In Photoshop adding this effect is one second. Just need to use Bevel option.
