I have some thoughts about the animal hunter and barbarian hunter promotions. I know that right now they don't work as intended if you have dynamic experience on. I think that they actually work pretty well together as they are right now - Here's why. First consider the following:
If the dynamic promotions worked as intended, then earlier on in the game, if you forget to give a troop a animal hunter upgrade (and to a lesser extent the barbarian hunter promotion), that troop would be stuck at very a low level relative to other trooops that have the promotion - in other words the animal/barbarian hunter promotions are too critical early in the game when you are mainly fighting barbarians and animals.
Now consider how those promotions work now. When dynamic experience is on, not having those promotions limits great general points but not experience. I think this is actually a very good thing. Great generals are a very nice boost, especially early in the game. I still pick those promotions a lot just because of that.
So my proposal is to have the animal/barbarian hunter promotions limit great general points, but not experience points, just like they do now with dynamic experience on.
As a side note, I wonder if the AI ever chooses those promotions. If not, that gives a significant advantage to the player.
Side note 2 - Just a reminder that I don't think that dynamic experience is working properly when a great general is attached to a troop. The +100% experience makes this worse. With both of those promotions you can attack an animal with 100% chance of victory, and frequently get 3.00 experience from the battle. That seems like way too much - I would expect something between 0.50 and 1.00 experience.
