C2C SVN Changelog

hi!
I created a new folder called C2C and than wanted to checkout. In the URL I copied the svn+ssh://faustmouse@svn.code.sf.net/p/caveman2cosmos/code/trunk

It always ends in the attached Error.

@Faustmouse

Did you follow the instructions?

When I did mine i made a folder called "C2C SVN" and then made another folder inside called "Caveman2Cosmos". Then I did the checkout stuff. Have you tried that?

I get the same thing, you must have Win 8 ??

@Hydro: Yes, I tried it now the exact same way you said and it still fails.

StrategyOnly

Yes, any instructions how to solve it? If not, I could use my old laptop to commit changes^^

Nope, i have no idea under Win 8, i have to go BACK to my other Win 7 computer and fire it up and do my commit from that also, its a PAIN in the butt, having to use 1 PC then doing something else on the other:mad: My stuff will be either delayed or incorrect(hopefully NOT) sometimes, i am sorry guys, because of this:(

I couldn't get SVN+SSH to work on win8 either. I used the https variant instead, and that works ok (though I tends to timeout on large uploads and you sometimes have to retry them as a result)

Oh well, since I only update resources and buildings there won't be very large files I think :) How do you do it?

I cant even get small files to commit on Win 8.

Get the repository using https:// instead of svn:// (yes it means you have to get it again from scratch I'm afraid, since the address cannot be changed so far as I know on an existing copy)

Just pushed to SVN (5740):
  • Fixed concurrency crash reported by Snofru1

Well, if it works I will try it than :)

Commiting to the SVN right now: New Resources and Buildings.

Note: I have no idea why, but my PC seems to update A LOT of files that don't belong to me. But I downloaded the latest SVN just 10min ago. Any idea WHY? I hope I did not screw up things

Do a "Clean Up" and see if that helps then first?

Ok, but this has to wait until tomorrow then.

So, the order is:

Download newest SVN, Cleanup, copy files in there, commit?

And is it normal that my PC wants to update stuff like "terrain.fpk"?

if you are updating NORMALLY yes, but committing is completely different.

Well the release will have to wait anyways, since the WB and the other items i have listed in the Bug/CTD section aren't fixed yet.:blush::cry:

Just dont commit anything that isn't YOURS!!
