@Hydro both you and AAranda (via me) overwrite NASA, Terracotta Army and World Trade Centre. I will look at the differences and see if I can come up with a solution.

With the Admin buildings there is little difference between the Metro and Capital ones so why not make it so that the Metro one can't be built in the capital. I don't know the number of times I ended up building both.

- Terracotta Army and NASA sorted out.

@Hydro please remove your versions of these two buildings. I intend to move all of AAranda's wonders into the core after the release of v20.

Also please add the following movie tags for the wonders
Olympic Games ART_DEF_MOVIE_OLYMPIC
Foundling Hospital ART_DEF_MOVIE_FOUNDLING_HOSPITAL
Iron Works ART_DEF_MOVIE_IRON_WORKS

Just pushed to SVN:
  • Pathing tweak to prevent exaggerated zig-zags
  • Some low-hanging fruit changes on memory footprint

The memory footprint changes are not wildly significant, but they were very trivial to do, so once I had them I figured they might as well go in. The research has opened up some new lines of exploration which will result in more significant changes, but that will be higher risk, so I won't be pushing anything further until V20 is out (this weekend right??)
 
With latest dll, we are back to "Failed to Compress to Load" on regular games again???

Edit - just pushed the fix for this along with the (assumed - I have no test case) fix for the CTD most recently discussed in the V19 crashes thread
 
Instead of the player having to go into the Assets file and set Max Compat from 0 to 1 so that the saves are automatically MC, why hasn't this just been done on the build?
open Assets\XML\A_New_Dawn_GlobalDefines.xml

search ALWAYS_USE_MAX_COMPAT_SAVES
change 0 to 1

I think that's because the Max Compat save takes a lot of time and may not be suitable for everyone's autosaves *looking at my laptop*. That's at least what I read in the past from others more knowledgable than me. :)
 
If you don't use Max Compat then Koshling can not check your savegame. Thought everyone was aware of that.

It doesn't take but a few seconds longer to save in MC. And it's suitable for everyone's saves whether auto or regular.

Having a slower machine than your peers when playing MP games means that you disable autosaves completely as that otherwise is a source of OOS. This has been proven by our little gamegroup time and time again. I take that fact as meaning even a faster machine might cause OOS if on a longer autosave like Maxcomp is.
