Yeah its better NOT to use the mirror one, and just back page and try the download again from modmd, i had to do it like three times, and also make sure you get the FULL 952 MG when its done, thx.

Also we had over 150 requested d/l's in the first (1st) 5 minutes, probably over crowding the site a little.

If you mean the Desura link, forget that. I have no intention of downloading and installing a program to download and install another.
But I was curious as to why the download file was so small compared to my zipped SVN4192 (952 vs 980 7z'd.) Since I still can't get the SVN version to run without black tiles, I thought I'd give the download version a try especially since there seems to be such a huge difference in size.

EDIT---sorry i posted this here, as I see a moddb/desura discussion is in another thread, but I read this one first and saw a relevant discussion here (plus the size differnece I have between SVN4192 and the "official" download))

I'm pretty sure I did. Here are the costs I used:

  • Portrait Painter (Oil Painting, X42) = 190 hammers
  • Photography Studio (Photography, X54) = 420 hammers
  • Munitions Factory (Artillery, X59) = 600 hammers
  • Advertising Agency (Propaganda, X62) = 700 hammers

And then for Wonders:
  • Krak des Chevaliers (Engineering AND Theology, X35) = 1000 hammers
  • House of Wisdom (Theology, X35) = 1000 hammers
  • Pere Lachaise Cemetery (Nationalism, X48) = 2240 hammers
  • Route 66 (Motorized Transportation, X64) = 6720 hammers
  • Madison Avenue (Consumerism, X64) = 7000 hammers
Madison Avenue is more expensive because it's got a BIG effect. Route 66 has a much smaller total impact, but I wanted it for the road factor.

  • Corrected an error in the volcano event Python that caused Python errors in my game

How big is v27 4202?

2.26 GB, but if your on the SVN you have to remember that SVN adds "almost" double that because of the way its being used (memory wise).

  • Round Stuns & Round Stuns vs Combat Class
  • Cut Global Combat Round Damage base to extend combat so as to reduce the impact of First Strike, Power Attacks and Combat Stuns.

hmm... well... we're gettin' there ;) s'bout all I can say right now. As long as there's significant forward movement on a week to week basis, I'm happy.

Did something just happen to the SVN? I tried to update and I get At revision: 4204, but there's no information for 4204, just Thunderbrd's 4203 revision.

That was the PDB&DLL archive update. Don't Update though, the SVN after 4202 is severely broken.

I just reverted my copy back to 4202 with the SVN Update to revision... option. That should handle it for the moment. I don't think it changed anything in the SVN core; it's still saying 4204 when I check in Firefox.
