C2C SVN Changelog

Hi folks,

I would like to bring to your attention that there are almost no music files present in the soundtrack directory. Only a few songs, most era's are just empty. Right now I'm in the Industrial age but I'm still stuck with Renaissance era music. Am I doing something wrong or what gives?

EDIT: This is what i did, i said NO to the pop-up, then i played for 1 turn, saved it, then did a back to Desktop, used autosaved game from there, and then i used buttons Ctrl-T, when it started again, now it will take quite a while for it to work, but eventually it will.

You were right there. I just managed to recalculate my current save. Took half an hour.

Saying yes to the popup should have precisely the same effect. On large games it will take some time though.

Schemas and savegame compatibility have nothing to do with each other.

Yeah, i figured that out later:blush:, but i was just trying to "shave" some time off when it did the change is all, if you did it the normal way (at least for me) it took a long long long time for it to re-calculate and then finally work, this way it took only around 10 minutes (for me). . . SO

Is there a way to get SVN to ignore a particular file folder? I want the SVN to skip over Assets\Sounds\Soundtrack\Title (I really, really can't stand the Brentalfloss track and never want to hear it again), but I can't see an SVN option that does that. There is an SVN command for Unversion and add to ignore list but I don't think that does what I want it to do. It looks like that command is to remove a file from the repository. I just want to empty the folder, then never update it again when I do an SVN update.

Try exporting the folder with itself as the target folder.

Something sounds fishy here, are you playing from the SVN folder? If not then just delete the Brentalfloss MP3 in the title area on the game you are using??

That's what I would do (or just put a different mp3 file there), but I think he wants a way to automatically do this each time the SVN updates. Actually, now that I think of it, putting a different mp3 file there (the SVN) with the same name should do the trick.

It doesn't seem to do anything. I get a message saying Unversion working copy, then I click Remove from version control, and then nothing happens. I can delete brentalfloss.mp3, but SVN will still restore it when I do an SVN update.

Hmm, another option (besides the mentioned replacement with another file) would be to delete it as if you would want to delete it on the SVN, then in the commit dialog right click on the file and add it to the ignore list. Cancel the commit. If you test it by going into the commit dialog again it should be somewhere at the bottom without being automatically selected.

Updates

-Anti-Combat Class promo display problem bugfix

-Attempted to resolve OOS errors on a theory of why there was an issue but it seems to be a failure.

I recalled Koshling saying the previous fix he'd implemented was necessary due to bAsync not being defined properly so I looked into how bAsync was getting its definitions and in almost every case it appeared that it was only gaining any definition by picking up a false default (and never being evaluated anywhere along the line.) Our test did not find the change to be problematic other than being a failure so I wanted to leave the changes in for review by Koshling and AIAndy to see if the problem is simply that I did not know how to properly define whether the bool should be true or not.

EDIT: I apologize in advance if the upload to the archive doesn't work. I'm getting about a 7k a second upload speed, having to re-log into my internet connection every half hour or less, and I'm even having trouble getting it to media fire and I've GOT to get to bed. I'll try again in the morning if this attempted update hasn't gone through.

Please, TB, don't add code like that to the SVN. The changes you made range from pointless but harmless to actually adding possible new OOS issues.
So undo those changes please.

I don't usually post here but I may as well... As of revision 4236 all tech quotes from X1 to X4 (Column 1-4 of the prehistoric era) have audio (mainly recorded by me) that matches the text quotes which are all unique and correct. I plan to have the prehistoric era completed (audio + unique tech quotes) in 2 weeks. I'll try work on 1 column per day ;)

As stated in the other thread, I merely left them there so you could see what I was trying to get at. Purely intended to be a temporary communication crutch ;)

I'm updating now with those changes reverted (but leaving in place the fix to the display problem.)

Updates:

-Added the Ecologist and the Park Ranger
-Added AI for aforementioned units.

Note that the AI for these is quick and dirty, it will basically keep them from suiciding on enemy units.
