as i am almost religiously following the SVN thread to see what is added i would like it :)
 
I mean, you know how I said in pm it didn't work? Like nothing actually changed. As if the alternative speeds weren't actually loading. Whats changed? Does it work now?

Edit: One of my concerns with increasing the costs too much was that prehistoric era in particular would suffer. In the CIV4EraInfos.xml, if itrain/inconstruct is lowered for prehistoric for example, does this have any effects that i'm unaware of?

They are actually making a difference now though they seem to be going the opposite direction. A comparative test on a starting city with it's first population as a citizen revealed there was an adjustment from the option but it was a little subtle and the Tribe was actually cheaper compared to the non-option game.

I don't think you have much to worry about on the prehistoric game. That's where I actually feel able to stay on top of things actually. Furthermore you're dealing in percentages and not flat rates so it has less impact on smaller values as it is.

I'd keep doing comparitive tests like the above mentioned one I ran to get an idea of how your numbers are panning out.

If you were asking why it didn't seem to be doing anything... the changes are apparently fairly subtle for the system though they may not seem like it. And its possible it wasn't working for you due to some xml load error that wasn't being caught as it would with the debug dll. It SHOULD be fine now. If it continues to seem like drastic changes don't have any effect, then I've got a theory as to what may be happening and how to fix it. So keep me posted.

Update

- Remove extra AI type from immigrant XML. I am still testing the python changes to go with this but hopefully this goes most of the way to fixing the problems the AI is having.

Need to check the Golden Spike wonder it uses a copy of the code from Via Appia. I'll try and get to it this morning.
 
It was a joke that someone could not tell which "United States" you had. Thus USA might be an even better name.

Nah, everyone in the Modern World knows what it means.
 
Well, the American civ I was playing is now Aborigine with their flag! PLEASE don't tell me I have to start over! I've finally gotten to the industrial age after playing for 40 years!:lol:
 
I am new here in the forum but have been playing the game since 8 years.

I am playing a saved game from an earlier version.
I was building railroad earlier but when i updated i could not build it.
So I checked the civilopedia but when I click on Routes>railroad
I get redirected to the Barbarian Macaque. Can you pls enlighten me that whats wrong.
 
We haven't enabled the routes pedia page in full yet. Not a BUG so much as a work in progress. I'm hoping to have my end of this project done within the next two weeks.
