XLM errors need correcting.

Updated to 8343.

For over 3 weeks now there are a lot of XLM errors on loading the game. I reverted back (two weeks ago) to an early January version, to avoid them until I could no longer continue the game because of a repeatable (CTD). I yesterday upgraded to latest SVN expecting them to be have been corrected. On upgrading they are still there. Once getting past them, the game continues - so the CTD was resolved.

As they are load errors - I assumed everyone sees them - so did not report it. But after 3 weeks!

Nearly 150 errors on loading is to much. Each needs a mouse/keyboard click to get past it.

Most - but not all are to do with: Healers or Property Controls. The Info class being incorrect.

Although the game eventually loads - it is obvious that healers and property controls should be avoided until corrected. Also it is very frustrating and time consuming each time you load the game.

I know these errors can be hidden - but they should not be. They are errors and should be corrected.

How would you like it, if a car manufacturer you had bought a car from, hid the fact the brakes did not always work.

Can the team please focus on these errors, instead of adding/changing things.
 
I am getting no errors at all.

edit I try a completely new copy and see if there are problems.

edit 2 I made a complete new copy from the SVN and it loads without errors.

Apparently it's been shown at times that the deletion of files doesn't always get picked up properly by updates. I would suggest a fresh checkout. I'm not seeing the errors you're talking about and I'm loading with a debug dll which would point them out quite obviously during the load process.

Sorry guys my mistake. I have now created a new download folder and downloaded the SVN from scratch. No more XML errors. :blush:

I had run a Tortoise cleanup on the original folder and re-updated before posting, with no change. I thought that may have cleared the problem.

I consider myself reprimanded. Or when I was at school a good caning, at least 6 thrashes maybe 12. :lol:

Put it down to memory failure from an oldtimer. :cry: (The :cry: is due to the caning not the memory lapse or maybe both.)

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not territorial though so that's beyond fine with me ;) Updating before committing has always flawlessly caught any edit issues between revisions so no worries there either.
