The Caveman2Cosmos team is also already working on integrating that mod component, and we all know that these guys are ambitious and always busy . ;)

When he said ambitious it made me think of leader traits. So C2C mod team, what C2C leader traits would you give yourself? Mine would be ...

Hydro (Creative/Industrious)

Creative since I am always thinking up new ideas for the project, and Industrious because I produce so much content people say there is too much.

How about you guys? What traits would you be?

Thunderbrd: Religious/Expansive

I started with Divine Prophets due to a love of the religious system and I'm constantly looking for ways to extend and improve the structure of the game all around and my ideas are often overly aggressive in terms of how much time they would take to achieve. (if there was an Inventive trait I may have said that instead but Creative doesn't seem quite right here...)

You know? This brings to mind that I've never made myself a Prophet in the game yet... always wanted to do that but I just haven't gotten 'round to it ;)

Thanks Hydro! You've been a wondrous powerhouse in this community here... this mod just wouldn't even be the C2C we know today without ya man! (It'd be quite dull by comparison and we wouldn't even know what (and how much) we'd be missing!)

Scientific /Charismatic OR Creative/Charismatic

Ever since i was a little kid i would go to the library and learn about the world and I love science, history, and i try to read a book a week. Im a nerd and proud of it. Its also easy for me as silvertongued extroverted person to make friends and charm girls. Im also an artistic individual and love Mr.Photoshop and making house remixes. Im very confident,(usually leader in a group), but its all about being down to earth and being yourself.

ls612: Protective/Expansive

I have been playing the ROM/AND/C2C line for a couple years now, and now that I am actually modding and continuing this line of mods I am protective of stuff that has been around for a while (sort of like JosEPh). I am also expansive, as C2C is currently the most active Civ 4 mod by far, and I can see us and this wonderful team going far and expanding C2C to the very limits of the Civ 4 engine.

I was kinda thinking we should all rate our abilities but that's the coolest way to do so ever Hydro!

hmm...

Thunderbrd
  • Brainstorming I
  • Brainstorming II
  • Brainstorming III
  • Brainstorming IV
  • Graphics I (I think you'd be at 3 (model design) and advancing to 4 (animation)imo...)
  • XML I
  • XML II (I presume this is where we begin to really understand the schema. I think you'd be one step up on me there as you understand how so many tags themselves work in practice and have a lot more experience creating such a vast variety of xml modifications... plus I've never seen such brilliant overcoming of limitations as you've shown with pure xml modding.)
  • DLL I (compiling, applying, writing (with vast help) a first mod)
  • DLL II (I'm getting here right now, finally figuring out what most of the code is saying and being able to replicate its methods for my own independent use... of course I see Koshling and AIAndy as being somewhere around V)

Well, Here's what I think I would be.

ls612
-XML I
-XML II (I can understand some more complex issues/know shortcuts in the coding.)
-Brainstorming I
-Brainstorming II
-Brainstorming III (I'm not as good at this as Hydro is)
-Graphics I (I understand and can fix ArtDefines issues)

MrAzure
- Brainstorming I
- Brainstorming II
- Brainstorming III
- Brainstorming IV
-XML I
-XML II
-DLL I
-Art I
-Art II (Basic Photoshop)
-Python I

I wonder what others rate their skills as.

I think I am a creative, idealististic, anarchistic progressist or something. And a bit megalomaniac, I have to confess. ;)

Brainstorming V
(yeah its high but thats what I am when brainstorming; usually my ideas take a lot of time to be realized, if at all, and when by chance they are, usually it's forgotten where they originated, even by myself, until once in a few years I track my older posts and gladfully see that the ideas beared fruit in some minds. Because I am usually so baked when brainstorming I tend to forget a lot but then again: as much is there for me to discover each time.)
Art & Graphics I
(I installed the right software to manipulate the loaded models but haven't made skins yet nor plan I to do so, as it's hard and boring work. I am glad there are people who like to do this for fun and don't have such a unfulfilling time like me with it! Being lazy has its downsides, at times. Not the ability to laugh about oneself, though. If anything, to cry about them - or better: being too lazy to be able to!)

XML I
(again, I can copy and sometimes combine tags and stuff but too much code gives me a headache and I want to get back to my, as Aristophanes described it, Nephelekokkygia (cloud-****oo-land))

I was kinda thinking we should all rate our abilities but that's the coolest way to do so ever Hydro!

I think I'd need to update this list:

Thunderbrd
  • Brainstorming I
  • Brainstorming II
  • Brainstorming III
  • Brainstorming IV
  • Graphics I
  • Graphics II (I've learned how to work the FPKs and Alpha transparencies fairly well)
  • XML I
  • XML II
  • XML III (I can now figure out the meaning of most tags and have a clear picture of the naming conventions utilized on most. Still need some practice with modularization to consider myself at IV)
  • DLL I (compiling, applying, writing (with vast help) a first mod)
  • DLL II (understanding what most of the code is saying and being able to replicate its methods for my own independent use... of course I see Koshling and AIAndy as being somewhere around V)
  • DLL III (Expanded knowledge of a number of coding issues and a growing familiarity. The code, in many places, is beginning to read like a written language more than gobbldigook that needs a great deal of effort to interpret. More data forms such as Vectors are understood now. IV would be an ability to understand far more about data manipulation in general and a more thorough understanding of every bit of the dll coding. V would be a mastery of programming that would enable one to go beyond the current way of doing things - possessed by Koshling, AIAndy, n47.)
