C3C PBEM : "Ilipa" - Rise of Rome scenario (level : newbies)

sank 1 x Carthage galley off coast lost Roman galley
Killed 3 Numideans outside Segusio
Killed 2 in the wastlands

Still 2 stacks of 20-30 troops in Northern Italy

Its Romes darkest hour Carthage has grown too big

Only good news is we generated a leader

To many carthaginians in Rome
Killed a bunch 5 or 6 but lost a legion. Still too many left.

An advice for roman player... build a lot garisons as they are cheap + fire catapults for defence. In the big cities build legionaries or HC if they are builded in at least in 3-4 turns... in rest build garisons... and block the shore... Use like 25% catapults and rest units. Legions + some catapults are deadly. try use one leagion for every catapult... in rest garison + walls. Catapults can get you a nice advantage as they can bombard 2 times... one when stack is near your cities and another when stack attacks. Also numidians are easy to kill. You should proffit from your tehnologically advance... it was obtained with hard work... Dont build galleys... as chartage has sea superiority... kill single galleys ... nothing more... One last word: dont let chartage take anything from you... if you suspect they will take a low defensive city sell all you can and try rush that city... (contact me for a nice tip)

They wont land inside your empire... they will land in front your big stack ;)

killed a couple of Numideans and lost 2 HC need legions

To adyc: What you think 30 or 40 troops were not gonna land cos of a few garrisons on the shore. They were gonna lans somewhere.

nowhere to run to.

1 out of 6 catapault hits so much for thier usefullness
3 numideans killed 2 wounded lost legion and HC

not a good year for Rome

Sorry Guys, I'm not going to have internet access for a while and need to drop out of my games. It would be best if you can get a replacement as I don't know when I will get online again.
