C3C PBEM : Rise of Rome - scenario-based PBEM

Indeed * cough* !

The last save from Ironduck worked so I played it and sent it along.
But I am still eager to know if annares finds something.

Yes, pirate version could be the problem (since Random Fan also sends to me in the other pbem with problems), but it still doesn't explain why I can play the turns just fine and Lou ends up with issues - or why it only started recently..

Updating vanilla to 1.29 did not seem to help - still have problems with the AoD.

And I am still eager to know what was so strange in Cortez that made you think someone was cheating here...

Me? I haven't said anything about cheating.. Lou brought up cheating, I don't think anyone is cheating, just for the record.

Played and Sent.

@ironduck no I were asking LouLong..

New turn started :-)

Still waiting for infos from Annares though.

@ Random Fan : just someone who thought something strange had happened about movements. I think it is normal. But I have been asked to check it carefully whcih I am doing so that everything can be perfectly clear for everyone. Safety precaution to reassure someone in a way, that's all.

IMO, these kind of problems with file not opening normally on a regular basis usually don't happen in PBEMs (never to me if the file is not corrupt). Hence, it might be better to investigate the issue. We might discover a new bug as well or something else. BTW, I played a few turns AoD PBEM with ironduck and it seems that so far everything is OK. I can open my files and he can open his.

Ok, akots and me have played 4-5 turns now in our test game (including a diplomacy deal) and everything worked just fine. So it doesn't seem like it's just my computer, must be more complicated..

Screenshots, where are the screenshots? :scan: Someone help
us lurkers if you can ;) .

Well I reckon it's someone else's turn to post screenshots now ;)

Btw, whatever was wrong it looks like the game is running again, the last three turns have worked out fine..

Nothing much to show screenshots of. It appears the entire African coastline of Carthage is blockaded with units, so invasion is impossible. It looks to be a very boring last 30 turns. (Unless the long truce between Macedonia and Rome is disrupted somehow).
I just want to know what the unit upkeep load is on the Carthage economy...it's gotta be near 100%!

I want to play as Carthage next time I play so I would be interested :scan: .

Indeed, every man, woman, and 90-year-old in wheelchair has volunteered to guard the coast against the Roman hordes! :D

The upkeep is far from 100%, we have a solid surplus.

It can't be my fault if the game is boring btw, I'm doing the best I can with my means..

screenie is a good screenie to me :scan:  .

Turn 145AD sent to Persia. Now I had to re-launch the game. But it was afetr playing 11 PBEM turns in one session. RoR was the last one, so when I reloaded C3C everything was fine.

The Persian royal dynasty :king: celebrates it's anniversary 145 BC - 145 AD :) Everyone execp Macedonians :p are invited to the party in Persepolis. :D
