C3C PBEM : "Yap" - WWII pacific scenario PBEM (level : newbees)

my turn is finished, still focusing my units. not a japanese troop in sight. what do the japs think i've been doing for 3 turns? ;)

Sitting back letting others die, waiting for the right moment so the good ole USA can storm in, look like you're saving everyone and make a truckload of money from the war?

:scan:

just a guess.......

Still celebrating its victory in Kaifeng, China was content to sit and build up its defences. 4 Japanese conscripts who wandered to close to my city were destroyed.

Yeah I do realise - although I've not played the scenario before several people have told me there will be a mean old storm to weather once you guys gear up.

I have some plans in mind to deal with it.....we shall see huh!

:D

Women folk throughout the Commonwealth are bombarded with government sponsored messages ... these public notices, often in the form of posters and pamphlets outline information and practices in which the war effort can be maximised ... thus ensuring a swift victory over the evil Japanese.

I never got the file. Could you please resend?

Hi Guyz

This is a suggestion - this is how I have addressed gameplay

Once I receive the saved game (my turn) ... I then play and save with new name
>I send Turn Reports to all allies
>I send abridged report to Japan (just combat results)
>I send Save to next player
>post report on thread

Therefore since the Turn Report is sent to all ... we are all aware of the game's progress.

This is good too, since the receiving player is sent 2 separate e-mails and can easily and swiftly request a resend.

What do you think :goodjob:
Don't know about you all but I'm enjoying the game ... and judging from the viewed stats ... others are as well :p

guys im leaving for atlanta for the SEC Basketball tournament. it starts thursday and lasts untill sunday. i'm sorry if i hold the game up any, i'm looking for my conquests cd, i've been using a no cd version on my desktop. if im able to find it i may be able to play from my hotel. we'll see.

oh ya, beat those japs!!!

Played and sent. Destroyed a couple subs near Davao.

VP totals:
Japan 10045
Allies 6355

The fall of Singapore

Months in the preparation, the Japanese campaign to take Singapore has been successful. Recognising the drain on Commonwealth forces in supporting the Chinese, Yamamoto strikes a hammer blow to the Allies by taking the “jewel of south east Asia”.

Once the surprisingly few Commonwealth defenders were killed, our Asian comrades welcomed us into the city with open arms. Horror stories are filtering through to our command ranks – tales of forced mass showering and other unspeakable acts. No more – not under my watch. I won’t allow it.

A message to the Commonwealth. Listen up. Get out of Asia. Pack your bags, take your sickly fragrances and round eyes and retreat to Australia. You will find the people there are friendly and the weather’s nice. Stay out of this war – Asia needs strong Asian leadership and you don’t fit into the picture. Leave us to destroy the Chinese. They are a dying people – you should let them pass.

Field report, June 1942

Commonwealth

Bombed Singapore back to the Stone Age (two elite Japanese bombers were shot down by AA fire) and then attacked with marines. Singapore was lightly defended and fell to our valiant marines. Japan then bombed the roads south of Kuala Lumper to delay counterattack.

Bombed troops advancing on Bangkok. Lost one Zero to AA fire and another two Zeroes were lost to interceptors.

Bombed roads near Kudat.

Destroyed transport near Singapore.

China

Artillery rained down death on Nanning. Light tanks attacked and killed two guerrillas, leaving only redlined conscripts quivering in their boots.

Bombed units near Kunming.

Bombed roads near Hangkow.

Damn, we're going to miss those nights in Singapore!

My suggestion was for Japan to send the file to Commonwealth while USA is away and for Commonwealth to play both the US and Commonwealth turns. Should we do this?

I've sent the file to howitis, forgot he was going away. I'm happy to resend it to another team member if you guys agree and let me know.

I havn't been sent a password so I guess we morn the loss of Singapore for a coupla dayz. Damn those Japs are tricky bastards
