C3C v1.22 patch (standalone) is out!!!

And now we wait for the next patch.
Is there any time frame within which we may expect the next patch?

BTW great work on behalf of Firaxis for creating a 'combined' patch as numerous players opposed to installing a patch and then a fix.

Well, they don't mention anymore the need for installing the 1.20 patch before. So, indeed it seems that this is a standalone.

Does anybody have made tests with it yet?

No, it doesn't. It says that near the end of the patch readme.

That's not a bug, its a lack of a feature ;)

I don't think it's a bug.
They simply not made the graphics for them.

Though i would say there are more important things to do than that. For instance the submarine bug or the airdefense ai script...

I will be interested to see what the feedback will be on this new patch. I have already downloaded it (had to do SOMETHING when the forums were down ;) ) but can't install as I have too many games going. Has anyone actually put this through the paces yet.

@ Bello -- After reading that other thread, I find your new sig most amusing.

If you can't load older saves, I'm not interested. I'll stick with 1.15. I am really disappointed with their efforts on this patch.

Think of it this way.

If you one day install newer patch, you'll have much more imcompatible saved game then if you just installed 1.22 now.

But, there is a way for those who like to keep 1.15 rules and saves.

-Backup 1.15 conquests.biq, conquests.mb and civilopedia.txt files
-Install 1.22
-Replace new ones with old 1.15 version.

And then the 1.22 game saves won't work with the new patch... I've spent too much time working on some of these Conquests to throw away the saves.

The conquests are mods, so they should be compatible with 1.22
It's only the saves of unmodded games that are not compatible (because of the Radio).

If it is the case that pre-1.22 saves cannot be loaded in 1.22 then I think that's the last straw regarding the Radio change. Backward compatibility is not a small issue, it should be a given in any software release! The ability to load old saves is important, both for continuing in-progress games and for the ability to download posts from the past (e.g. HOF games at CivFanatics) and to view them.

If pre-1.22 games can't be loaded then I think the best thing would be a 1.23 patch which puts Radio back in. And does nothing else at all, unless there's something else which must also be undone to make loading previous saves compatible. I hope Firaxis will consider doing this.

I doubt that anything similar to thrwoing out tech would happen it the future.

The most I can think of is modifing stats of some units, but that shouldn't invalidate any saved games.

Also, I haven't tested, but I think that pre-industrail saved games from 1.15 or before, should work well with 1.22 (but not those from 1.20, when you got Radio at start).
