C3MT v1.12.6 installer

C3MT - Civ3MultiTool (Second CFC Thread) 2016-10-05

Hello? Anyone?

u might want to try to reinstall it. Also look on apolyton for the link, cause the links on here come up as 404, krappy i know.

I have had this problem before. I could not use a few of the features of this program because I have Civilization III Complete. It was explained to me that if you do not have the original 3 cd installed, that this program will not recognize Civ III vanilla install location. It seems the program requires whatever resources are in that installation path, otherwise it will not work.

Oooooooooohhh Thanks, Gaias. Cruddy, as I have Complete. This should be oted in the first port.. I wish Gramphos would make a patch, but I have been unable to get a hold of him..

The thing is that since I don't have comlete myself I don't know what registry locations it store it's installation paths in. And I'm really busy with my real life and other projects at the moment.

Here is the path for complete F:\Program Files\Atari\Civilization III Complete\Conquests\Scenarios...........I didnt install to the C drive all my games and graphics programs are on my F drive.

Call Stack:

SaveFile::deserialize @ SaveFile.cls Line 52

This is with 1.12.1. All manner of other errors cropped up with older versions.
Thanks

I was getting the same error when trying to load a file that had a Data IO error: CITY problem (due to last settler of a civ being destroyed in a ship) in order to fix it, only difference was in last line SaveFile::deserialize @ SaveFile.cls Line 147 instead of Line 52.

I went back to a Gramphos post of May 25 2005 and downloaded the attached file c3mt0-95-1001.zip. I then ran SaveGameEditor.bat and loaded, fixed and saved the damaged .sav file. The new file loaded in both the latest version of C3MT and in Civ3.

Hope that helps.

Is there a newer version of the program

Firstly, awesome utility, im very sad that ive only discovered it now :(

Secondly... I dont want to be ungrateful, but have a problem, i dont know if its already been posted or if this thread is dead or what, but here goes...

I have learned to work around most of the crash bugs, but theres one thing i cant fix... I really want to create scenarios from save games for a project im working on, using fixed player-civ settings. I can export a conquests game to a scenario OK, so long as i dont include the rules or player data (i can import those in the editor from another scenario file). But when i open in the editor, i see that all the players have been mixed around...

What i mean is that all player 1's cities, units etc, are now under the control of player 2. All player 2's stuff is given to player 3, and so on. This would be OK, except i want to use specific player-civ combinations. I get the city of rome as captiol of egypt, thebes as capitol of greece etc. And player 1 is left in control of nothing, but all its former cities and units are under the control of player 2. Things can be repaired somewhat by re-assinging the civs in the player settings. But anything that originally belonged to the last player in the list seems to be totally lost from the map.

With 31 players, there seems to be a crash bug, where one of the players probably gets assigned a civ that doesnt exist, or possibly becomes the 'barbarian' civ. The editor will crash whenver any of their units or cities comes into view.

Well i guess this post was pointless... but in any case, id like to say thanks again for the awesome utility :)

I just came across this utility and would like to know what it does and whether it is compatible with C3C 1.22. I would appreciate very much if anyone could point me to a thread containing specs, etc.

Cheers

Loook at the first post of this thread. It should explain everything

I have no idea how to help you with yours, Daft, you need to ask someone who messes around with civ more often than me..

Its Stickciv. Not sticky. But nyways, you're welcome. Maybe you should ask on the creation forums

Hi there,

I am playing Civ III v 1.29f (no PTW, or conquests). I would like to edit a save game to modify the end year and victory conditions. I have tried using Civ 3 MultiTool save game editor v1.12.4 but when I try to load the modified game into Civ 3 I get the following message...

DataIO operation System error:BIC

...and the save game will not load.

Can someone please help me with this problem or suggest an alternative method of editing the victory conditions of a save game?

Thank you!
