CamJH's Creation Thread

DOB: 8/22/1956. And I still play with toy soldiers. They're just virtual now. When I go on an :old: rant, there's a reason, if not a decent one.

Edit: I wonder how many others here can claim to have played Pong when it was "state of the art".

I can make that claim also my HS was "state of the art" with computer courses that used punch cards.

I don't know about Pong, but I do remember playing Atari with my brother back in the day. :)

Just for an update, I only have 2 animations left to create (another attack animation & the death animation). I'll try and post this guy next week.

I started with a ZX81, and when we got the Commodore 64, I thought I was living in the future. I can still remember some of the POKE and PEEK addresses.

I've given up trying to get this thread back on topic.

Well, to put things back on topic, do you think the Commodore 64 had curved edges compared to the Amiga that was more straight because of horse riding? Or because of difference in armor?

^
Now everyone play nice. :)

Update:
I've now finished the 2nd attack and death animations, so... it's done. Ok, almost done. I'm going to change the victory animation. :mischief:
I've got tons of work to finish over the weekend, so I doubt I'll have time to render everything and post it. But, if I don't run into any hickups, I should have it posted early next week.

Excellent job, CamJH, as I said in the unit thread. So, what's next?

Here's what I'm working on next:
NU.png

- Don't know yet if I'm going to give him a shield or not, but I imagine I will.

I'll edit the first post to include a preview of this guy.

Could you give some more info on this one ? Looks like another great fantasy unit...
EDIT: Wood elf ?? Sure ??

Hey, Cam, would you mind posting the chainmail texture you use for his kilt? And also the values of each thing (transparency, specularity, size, etc.) too? I'm really bad at applying textures...
