I thought I'd post this here, too, so people can find it more easily:

This is another Capture mod, but it has some different mechanics compared to Capture+++. It's basically a slight rework and VP compatibility adjustment of Whoward's original Capture Great People mod, so not everything can be captured; some Great People give instant bonuses or promotions to the capturing units instead and some can't be immediately used for all of their abilities. Update to version 3

This update introduces:
  • German and Russian localization
  • Space Ship Parts will now give a nice Science boost to the capturing player upon being captured and destroyed
  • tested to work with unique units that are part of MUCfVP and Leugi's Israel (all of those are Great General variants so they are treated normally as Great Generals, just like the Merchant of Venice is treated as a Great Merchant)

Hello, everyone! Been loving the support and resources here at the forums. I've been diving into mods and have been trying to use Capture Great People for VP. However, I can't seem to enable it. Even though I have all dependencies, I still get the warning that I'm missing dependencies. I'm even using Sukritact's Enhanced Modding Screen, so it's showing the back-end requirements and taking the guesswork out of it. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any advice?

That's strange, you seem to be meeting all prerequisites. You could force it by removing all dependencies inside the .modinfo except the Community Patch.

I figured out the issue. It's the Promotion Icons for VP minimum version 2 requirement. To install VP, I used the automatic installer with the latest full version, which I guess is pretty old. It only has Promotion Icons for VP version 1 included. It's weird that the dependency highlights green even though it doesn't actually match the version requirement.

In any case, I reinstalled VP with the latest beta installer and was able to active this mod as well.
 
Today my Carrack destroyed embarked Great Artist instead of capturing him, confirmed that its working perfectly on land, what gives?

Edit: Carrack is a new unit from Enlightenment Era mod if its any help.

With latest versions of vox populi this breaks many unit promotion texts for me for some reason.
