Caravels can't get exploration promotions?

As I only use caravels for exploration, it made me wonder why can't they get exploration promotions (extra sight/movement)? They used to be able to get them in vanilla, but apparently it changed since caravels are now on the melee side of ships and they can't apparently get exploration promotions.

I agree, they should bring back those exploration promotions for caravels.

Agreed, they should have the scouting promotions, since they are contemporary with the Frigate and Privateer and can't be upgraded until Ironclads, they're not good for much except scouting.

I also think they should have a speed of 5 instead of 4... it's silly for the scouting unit to be slower than its contemporary combat units, and for a Caravel to be no faster than a trireme.

I'd question the strategic soundness of doing so considering they upgrade into Ironclads which are absolute beasts. <.<

Bring up the speed to 5 seems reasonable I guess. However the faster you make ships, the less valuable the Lighthouse/Commerce/English and Polynesian UA becomes.
