CarmenNES03: Kaiserreich

I'm a big fan of the detail you put into the updates! The addition of the pictures adds even more to the already thick atmosphere. I'm sorry I haven't said anything to this effect previously, but being new has made me cautious about posting.

Hey man, don't be afraid. THIS IS NESing! You're older than many forumers, Sept. 2006, for crying out loud.

Detail, for me, adds fun to the game.

My joining date coincided with first year in college, which is also why I haven't been active. This, however, is not a discussion to have in this thread, but thank you for your encouragement!

Its okay, don't be shy about criticism as well! So long as its civil, I'll tolerate it, and put changes into effect.

Like I said, I'm very happy with your update format. It would, however, be nice to have some updates on what some of the npc nations (Norway :p) are doing.

[shameless plug] Personally for my NES (Which is admittedly smaller) I like to detail the Important things at ignore the others- Spotlight and two random events [/shamelessplug]

You said in your orders to deploy them against the French so I assumed you wanted them to go with Germany. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

Nah it's cool. I officially pass them to Shadowbound *Germany" if he wants their help.

I'm back for the United Baltic Duchy. Someone give me the skinny on its happenings and the happenings of Russia, Lithuania, Finland, and Germany.

Glad to have you back, DarthNader. Well, basically, Germany has subjugated you as a more loyal puppet state, and you're basically a German slave. You still can do your daily affairs, just with Germany approving everything.

Finland-Russia have some border tensions, nothing too serious yet.

Lithuania is also another puppet state of Germany, just with a few more freedoms.

Shadowbound can tell you more about Germany.

The United States is disappointed by the lack of a coordinated effort to counter the effects of the substantial decline in asset prices in Europe, and now outside of it as well. Many companies, operating in all of the major countries, will be impacted by the event, as the decline in asset prices will, and already has led to, less liquidity around the world.

The United States has begun a program to provide the necessary liquidity to parts of the international system, but a coordinated effort is needed to fully counter the effects of the downturn. We propose coordinated injections of capital in the form of short term bridge loans into the financial institutions of the world that have been most affected by the downturn in order to restore the world economy to a balanced growth path.

To the Dominican Republic

The United States government repeats its immediate call for the removal of Rafael Trujillo from power and the immediate termination of the atrocities against the people of Haiti. The United State reiterates that any sovereign government must act with due responsibility and respect the lives and human rights of all people. The failure of the Dominican government to do so indicates that this government is unfit to govern.

The United States is prepared to take all actions necessary to protect the lives and human rights of the people of Haiti and hope for the cooperation of the Dominican government in this process.

To the Caribbean Federation

The United States reiterates its commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the people of Haiti and Dominican Republic.

We are glad to see that the Caribbean Federation recognizes the problems that exist within Haiti and the Dominican Republic, and we hope that the Caribbean desire to help is sincere. We further recognize that the Caribbean Federation is in fact a just, fair, and democratic government and that is why we welcome the Caribbean initiative in aiding its neighbors.

We hope that the United States and the Caribbean Federation can work together to bring about a change of government in the Dominican Republic, and improved conditions in Haiti, and do so while respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both nations.

Spiritual concerns are always at the fore of my decision process. However, beyond these, defeating France and Sicily moves to the head of the line; until the war is won, I can do nothing to help alleviate the current problems within the global economy.

I hope you understand my position.

I would ask now that you surrender, and I will allow things to go back to the way they were; otherwise, you shall be destroyed and dismantled with France, the true instigator of this war.

This is, quite possibly, your only chance to reinstall yourselves in mainland Europe. From my perspective, it is the only chance to see the legitimate, friendly government of France restored.

While you may hold enmity towards Germany, surely pragmatism can overcome such shallow feelings? Assist us in the war against the Commune of France and you will be rewarded, I assure you.

Because I'm sadistic and evil, I've finished all stats except Asia. (Just kidding, I'm just a bit tired now)

I will note that for Sicily, France, Sweden, and possibly a few other nations ignored upkeep and thus I reduced/cherry picked the units you received this turn. Of course, if you meant to not have efficient troops, that's a different story.

I was under the impression that the required upkeep simply indicated how large a portion of your economy must be under the military section, functioning as an upper cap on the size of your military. I'll be sure to do it correctly next round.

Shadow has informed be that he no longer wishes to play Germany, and asked me if I would play it rather than a puppet state. I accepted. So, I should be Germany after this update. Shadow, can you confirm this please?

(Churchill 25, I'm looking at you, you are trying to buy 3 times more than you can afford)

sorry, Wont happen again. Just build less motorized infantry.

Replies to my diplo? Anything? This feels like it is dead, even though it is an awesome NES with lots of stuff going on...
