Caveman 2 Cosmos

What is this Desura? Does it cost money? Is it the only way to download? Can you go in and change the files if necessary now?

Dont use that, go near the BOTTOM left and the REAL download is there!!!! To make it easier i just changed the address. Just click through the one error that is there for now, sorry everyone.
 
Not many people are seeding the torrent. I'll use the gamefront link. Usually gamefront downloads quick for me.

Have you checked all the BUG options dealing with automations if they are set right?

Who would want to automate workers anyway? They always act stupidly.

BTW does anyone know if a saved game from v23 will work on the new version? Just got to classical era, like to keep up to date but don't want to start all over again.
 
Is the changelog going to be updated for 24 at some point?

No offense to anyone, but i am not feeling the best lately, but will try to get to it sometime next week, sorry:blush:
 
I just installed v 24. I get the following error while loading the mod:

Tag: TECH_MINDUPLOADING in Info class was incorrect
Current XML file is: modules\MrAzure\Digital Era Buildings\Online Shippping Warehouse\OnlineShipping_CIV4BuildingInfos.xml

Maybe it has something to do with the first Shipping having three p's? :)

After I click OK, the mod continues to load and finishes. All appears normal, but I bet there's something missing in the vastness that is the mod :) No "Online Shipping Warehouse" appears in the building list of the pedia, for one.

Does patch 1 address this, or is this something that only happens to me? I'm eagerly waiting for the patch to be verified at moddb so I can download it :D. v. 23 worked fine for me, btw.

When I click on the patch it says "waiting authorization by site administator" . I have the same mind uploading error.

It now downloads for me! Check again.

EDIT - Is it really just one xml file?

EDIT #2 - OK, managed to download the patch, and it fixed my problem :) Still no Online Shipping Warehouse on the pedia, though ;)

Thanks a lot for all your work! I'm new to the forums, is there some place where I can learn what I can do to help the project? I'm no modder, but I could maybe review text files for typos and such, or suggest some content for the stuff that currently lacks text.

Here's what I've noticed so far:

Prehistoric starts now begin at 50000 BC, with the initial turns moving much faster year-wise.

Several new technologies, some of which at the moment seem to be placeholders, as they don't have any effects (at least according to their pedia entries).

Your first city spawns with a Tribal Guardian in it. At 2 strength, 0 movement, 200% city defense, he can't move at all.

New Air Pollution, Water Pollution, and Disease mechanics! By far the biggest and coolest change I've noticed. Mousing over a tile now tells you how much it affects each factor, if at all, whether positively or negatively. All these three elements now show up in your city's properties, alongside crime rate and such. For example, the Dye Maker building will give +5 air and water pollution per turn; Water Treatment Plants give -100 per turn to water pollution.
