Caveman 2 Cosmos

Elephant Workers can build stuff slightly faster than a worker can. Note that Mule Oxen and elephant Workers all work at the same speed, which is faster than a Worker (or Gatherer).

As a city grows it can have more World Wonders (and national wonders). Thus bigger the cities the more wonders you can have. Note that in custom settings under "Unlimited Wonders" you can turn this feature off and have as many wonders as you want in a city.

Hmm. I don't know. Sounds like a possible bug. You should post that with a saved game if possible in the bugs section.

Thank you. And welcome to C2C. Let us know if you have any more questions. We would be happy to answer them.

Really thanks!:D

Love how the combat shaping up!

I had a civil war in my empire. The rebels would scatter/reform ect. Spent a good 8 hours trying to put the rebellion down (epic speed) and it turned into a world war as the AI jumped into the throw. The way armies are behaving is really reallistic and requires alot of thinking now.

If the combat and AI are only half done I cant wait to see the finnished result!

Hello folks :hatsoff:
I was wondering if there was a way to install this mod without having to install Desura. The torrent just opens a blank page for me.
Any help would be much appreciated :D

The torrent is a Magnet Link. That means it needs to find and download the torrent info first before you start downloading. It CAN take quite some time though so just let it run in your torrent client. That means accepting to open the link with your torrent client and letting it do it's job.

Cheers

Even on the desura site you don't have to install desura to get the mod. It's there but not very obvious. ModDb site is easy to use but you do have to register. But that's free.

Hello, all. I am new here and I have a question about a possible bug. I usually play with the resource icons (the little things that mark where resources are) toggled on. It helps me keep track of what resources are where. But with this mod, they usually don't quite work right for me.

Most often what happens is the icons for some of the types of resources are activated, but the others are not. Sometimes they actually work right, but these occurences are few and far between. Also, it varies between saves; I can load my game one time and some of the icons work, and I can load another time and all of them work. And it usually doesn't happen the same way twice in a row, so I haven't been able to detect any patterns to work off of.

Some help with this would be most appreciated.
:dunno:

What you need to do is, when this happens to you, take a screenshot of where its happening, do a manual savedgame, say whether it is a normal v27 game or a SVN one, and since its in the bug/crashes thread, put alittle info like you did here, what is going on or NOT going on, thx, and Welcome to CFC and to this Great Mod, C2C.:)

The way to get them all to show is to zoom all the way out (or click the globe view icon - the globe by the upper right corner of the mini-map) and click on "everything" when it is showing resources.

Hi,

First up thanks for developing this awesome mod and apologies if i am posting in the wrong forum, I did spend some time searching for answers to my two question before resorting to perstering you guys:

1) Please could some one clarify how the culture works: I understand that initial nation choice is divorced from any affiliation to cultures, however i'm confused by the fact i can research multiple cultures when conditions allow, does the mean i should be able to get UUs from say France and England via research? Also, If i am 1st to research French culture and get access to their UUs then does that prohibit other civs from gaining access via research?

2) I quickly become overwhelmed by the astoundig array of building options availalbe in my cities, is there an option to hide older options that have been surpassed by more modern alternatives?

I had an idea regarding point 2: Perhaps some buildings could be worked into upgrade chains. example:

Elder council upgrades to Library when Library becomes available: So if you have a city that already has an Elder council then you only have to fund the upgrade cost, where as newer cities would only see the newest option form the chain in their list of available buildings and thefore be forced to build their library from scratch.

Thanks!

Welcome to C2C! :D

1. Yes, all European nation get a unique building called Native Culture (European). This unlocks ANY of the European based cultures. However they are in the form of Wonders so first one to get the one gets the culture. Just like in real life many nations are made of many different cultures and so is true for C2C. So yes one could build many different Culture Units (aka UUs).

2a. Yes in the city screen there are buttons just above the units/buildings. They are different filters. And even a drop down menu that can filter them by price, alphabetical order, etc. You can even filter them by stats such as view only ones that give :hammers:.

2b. There are MANY upgrade chains. If you look under the civpedia you can see the list of building upgrade chains.

2c. Well an Elder Council while gives :science: isn't really a place to store information like a Library. Maybe the Story Teller's Hut or something. In short there are always things we can improve so keep posting your ideas. Who knows maybe you will come up with an idea we have not thought about.

I hope these answer your question. Let us know if you have any more questions.

There are options in the BUG (ladybug button top left of the screen) options to hide buildings that you have not built and have more modern ones that you could build. There are a few others of these that you may find useful.

This got me thinking. I have many Middle Eastern cultures as Arabia, but can a civ have cultures that span a continental divide? There are many Mediterranean countries that are a fusion of European and/or West Asian and/or African eg. Bosnia's huge Muslim community with (Slavonicized) Arabic or Turkic names like Ezitbegovic. (Lots of examples elsewhere too - Voodoo, Fiji, etc.)

If you have the Assimilation game option enabled, you can build cultures from a different continent after capturing a city that originally belonged to a civ from that continental group, and building the native culture building there.

hi all, may I know what is the impact that "fire" can bring to a city? I knwo crime can reduce wealth but not quite sure about the fire.
