CCM1 (epic mod)

It is Carly Simon and that is the title.

Edit whoops way late I see on the next page.

The new CCM mainfile (657,5 MB rared) and the CCM betatest biq v1.5 are ready for download here:

http://www.stormoverciv.org/forums/showpost.php?p=24150&postcount=1.

Thank you very much to all civers who helped to improve CCM. I will do a rewriting of post 1 of this thread with additional credits, when the CCM betatest is finished and I hope, that you still help me to find the errors in the new download and to improve this mod. :)

If you want to finish your current CCM games with betatest biqs 1-1.4 you have to rename the textfiles for the old and new pediaicons and civilopedia files included in the textfolder of the new download.

There are tons of additions and fixes in this download. Here are the most important for gameplay:

- Airtrade-SWs for Coal, Oil, Uranium, Aluminum
- A small wonder, autoproducing SSBN's
- The Small Wonder "Skunk Works", autoproducing U-2, YF-12
- Jolly Roger; SW autoproducing 1-2 famous pirates

- New trait diplomatic for Britain and France (alliances)
- US now scientific and industrious

- tons of new units, amongst them:

Flavoured units for Mesoamerican, American and African civs,
the modern tanks by Whyrmshadow (sounds by Ares),
SSBNs of the Typhoon-, Ohio- and Le Redoutable Class,
Amphibious Assault Ships of the Tarawa Class,
Modern jetplanes, amonst them the Mig-29, F-22 Raptor, Eurofighter and Rafal,
Jetplanes without resources: Mig-19 and F-100 SuperSabre,
Recoulered Egyptian Settler and Worker by tom2050,
Motorized Settler, Pirate ship, Landsknechts,
WW 2 Extra units added to CCM mainfile

- New sounds for ships of era 3 and 4 by rhodie
- For the CCM worldmap: New format of the resourcefile and alternative Ares1-terrain
- Catapult- and Castleships now have lethal landbombardement

What, no F35 Lightnings? (We're supposed to get a squadron of 35Bs at Miramar MCAS sometime soon.)

BTW, now downloading, 46 minutes to go as I type this.

I Dl, it just a few minutes, 6 or 7. I thought Mirmar was closing when I worked at Trade St back in the late 80's.

Nope, still up and running. Only now it's a Marine Corp air station instead of a Naval AS.

I'm now looking at some 41 minutes to download, but I'm using small bore broadband. If I were still on narrow band it would be taking hours.

Update: 40 minutes to download.

What is the rate of the dl? I was doing about 2mb/sec. Been years since I was last in San Diego.

Civinator – I see that there are two ‘Terrain’ versions in the download. Presumably ‘Terrain’ is the original and the biq is set for that? How can we compare?

Hi, rhodie, the folder called terrain (containing SnOOpies Blue Terrain) is the current terrain used in CCM. The terrain can be easily changed (even during a game) by renaming the folder Ares1 terrain to terrain and the folder terrain to something like terrain a or 1 (or something like that). It is a first step in the direction of the CCM worldmap (the same with the new resource file, with the place for the hundreds of resources that will be used in the worldmap). :)

Thanks Civinator.
So once the player has decided which ‘terrain’ is preferred, the extra 5.4-8.7MB terrain folder can be deleted to clean up their hard drive?

Yes rhodie, this is of course another option. :)

Civinator - The ‘enslaver’ unit settings seem different from my earlier version. It moves two squares at a time but is restricted to one square in forest and desert. That's fine but previously when a road was built on the forest, there was no movement restriction. Now the enslaver is still restricted to one square a turn on a forest even with a road. Is this correct?
Also, the enslaver’s power seems to be pretty limp as his ‘enslaving’ ratio is now quite poor and he kills (or he is badly injured) many more times than he used to do.

So, I'm plowing along with my French empire, when I came across 2 cities with a symbol I've never seen:

Any idea what's this?

PS: Looooooving the mod again. Really think it's one of the best ever. The alterations to the availablity of workers and settlers, combined with the invisible units, is driving me nuts. Good job! :goodjob:
