CFC dungeons and dragons RPG

IC:

Just checkin' sometimes even gods don't do thier homework! Hey another question was Beshaba in on this? I haven't heard anything from her lately. I know this isn't exactly her cup o' tea, but I'd like her approval first.

IC:
Rare are the occasions when Kabal would interviene in the realm of mortals. Something important must be going on here.
I gladly accept the quest; and i will succede, "Deus vult".

[to party]: I think we should decide on what to do next, before we go to rest.
Firstly, maybe we should decide on who our leader shall be. Any suggestions ?

OCC: i'll send you my soon-to-be-memorised spells shortly ... (via PM right ?)

OOC:

For your spell choosing.

Just write them down in the thread whenever the party agrees to sleep. That way they won't clog my PM box and you will also have a reference for your spells.
When the party sleeps, I will call it when its day or if something happens during your sleep.

:)

IC:

Ian: Shall we call it a night then? We can reconvene in the morning and go about buying equipment.

Willy McAle: I did not hear the dwarf answer yet. We won't let you go until we hear his opinion.

OOC: damn dwarves, depriving those who travel with them of sleep :p

IC: It's suspicious, or at least curious, that Ehlonna would choose a dwarf. But I've certainly no objection to eliminating the theives. Of course, a straight up assault appeals to me far more than this infiltration you speak of.

I also agree that eliminating the gnolls is a lesser objective. Secure trade routes are far more advantageous than working mines, and this is doubly true if things are to get worse before they get better.

Just my opinion. I'm prepared to go along with more or less anything that gets me in gear at this point. It may seem odd to you that a caravan guard would go on duty without any weapons, armor or equipment of any kind whatsoever, but apparently I, um, did. Feeling a bit naked, t'be honest

IC

"Then it is settled then, we are a party. A party with issues, apparently, but apparently the gods know what they are doing.

At any rate, let us call it a night and sleep on this. The big decisions can be made in the morning."

OCC:
I'll post my spells here as well:

Level 1:
Cure Light Wounds
Bless
Magical Stone

Level 2:
Charm Person or Mammal
Hold Person
Slow Poison

Level 3:
Cure Medium Wounds
Call Lightning

Level 4:
Cure Serious Wounds

OOC: Ummmmm....... , I have to admit that a bodyguard without equipement is a bit ... uh .... uh...... stupid, but I really wanted to get all the party without anything to start up the game. :)

IC:

Willy McAle: Allright, it is set. You guys are now a full fledge party.

Elminster: Good, I'll be leaving now. Willy, keep me updated on the situation. Good bye to you guys and good luck on your quest.

*Elminster stands up and leaves the room*

Willy McAle: Good!
Now you will need to do a few things before really being set to go.
First, you guys will need to choose a leader for your group, preferably someone with good intelligence and wisdom.
Second , you will need to choose a spokesperson, preferably someone with a lot of charisma.
Third, you will need to decide what you guys are doing with the gold pieces we gave you. If you choose to keep it for the party, you will need to nominate a treasurer.

Now I'll leave you guys for tonight and I'll be there when you wake up to get you on your way. Be sure to get some sleep, there is much to be done.

*the party grabs some food and drinks on the table and goes up to the room on the second floor.*

IC:

Ian:

Very well.

I nominate Nicolas as group leader, due to his superior wisdom and favorable class.
I nominate myself as spokesperson, as if any negotiations go badly I'll be more able to defend myself and escape that our resident "insult comic".

As for the gold... I suggest we buy all the equipment we need and spend the excess on potions and general supplies. Splitting the money sixways will not favour our more witless comrades who rely on expensive armor and weaponry.

OOC:

What happened to my gold ring? Its no longer in my inventory according to post 1...

IC

*Yawns*

"Very well then, here is my thoughts...

For a leader, I would suggest our resident mage Sigur. I believe the Elminster himself hinted at his potential power. It could do us well.
Spokesperson I'll leave for the rest of the group to decide. The mischevious streak in me is interested in having Glappo represent us, but Ian would do nicely as well. I just trust he does not have that much of a reputation for his thieving ways!"

IC:
I nominate Siggy because he has that good leader stench
For Spokesman I'll throw my hat in the ring because:
1. As a holder of Bardic Knowledge, I have the ability to cast enhancement spells before particulary tense negotiations
2. I'm clearly smarter and wiser then quarrelsome theiving fellow, something needed in negotiations.
3. The beard, man! Everybody loves it!

Now change your vote, Kan, you know this to be true!

IC

*roars with laughter*

"That convinces me. Despite your insulting nature and beardy points I'll give you credit on the other arguments. I'll vote Glappo for our party spokesperson."

IC:

I might make a good party leader; but alas, worshiping more than one god has it's toll. Praying and divinations are still a large part of my life, even tho it's not 24hours a day like it used to be.
1. I'll vote for Sigur as well. :) But rest assured that i will advise/rant/question you descisions. :p
2. I'm not sure who to vote for a spokesperson. Ian and Glapo both seem to be loudmouths ...
3. I say we should pool the money and use it as a group.

IC:
"I'd be willing to lead, if so desired... for no additional charge! With Glappo as speaker, every negotiation is bound to become tense, but as long as we don't run out of charm spells this should be tolerable. And unlike Ian, he won't be much use in combat. The speaker position is the only reason, why i can imagine the gods might have chosen him for this adventure... Unless they have a thing for elves with mug rags, that is.
I agree on that the money should not be divided. Getting our fighters decent weapons and armor is more important than a new robe for me at the moment...
"

OOC: I see you guys are getting to a concensus about the leader part and also getting close to choosing a spokesperson.

As for the money, my advice would be to choose the dwarf as the money holder. IMO

I need to know who is going to carry the money because if you guys ever get robbed I need to know who has the money on him.

After you guys chose everything, the leader should post that the party is going to sleep. (Only the leader can call it. Avoids confusion)

There will be no posting after that because I need to post the begining of Chapter 1.

You guys will each have a little pleseant suprise when you wake up. :)
