This is confusing. At least to me.
When referring to gender, one uses the noun of the gender with which you identify (man/woman or male/female is you prefer or even man/womyn for some people), its relationship to your sex (cisgender or transgender, often abbreviated to cis- or trans-) and, in the case of civ_king's question, sexual orientation in reference to your gender (woman attracted to women or man attracted to men -> homosexual, woman attracted to men or vice versa -> heterosexual, etc., etc., etc.).
For example, a man attracted to women who identifies as a woman is known as transgender homosexual woman (or transgender lesbian). A man attracted to men who identifies as a man is known as a cisgender homosexual man.
