changelog for v27

So this might not be the best topic to ask, but I can't find the answer anywhere else. Will the game I started on v26 still work if I install the v27 update?

Yes, C2C has a special savegame format that remains compatible between versions.

@StrategyOnly Perhaps this save compatibility between versions needs to be highlighted somewhere right near the top of the documentation.

BTW you do know that the long movie "mod" could also be released. It is independent of versions now because the long movie name is the same as the short movie name so there does not need to be any XML changes at all. Or do you want me to set it up as a modmod which you can point to in your documentation?

Just in case you or anyone else reading this is confused, v27 isn't an "update". You have to either delete v26 before installing v27, or rename it (ie, they are two separate mods, as v27 deletes files as well as adds files, so you can't simply copy v27 over v26). If you rename it, the saved games won't be interchangeable.

Also, even though saved games are compatible between versions, you may find that so much has changed that your strategy is no longer effective, and it is possible that you may have to start over anyway. You have been warned.;)

Haha, unfortunately I had the wisdom of turning on "lock modified assets" on game creation, so it won't let me convert to v27. :(
