Chaos SG

Got it.

Looking at the save, yeah, we're screwed. We could actually get peace with catherine for Yangzhou and all our gold, but I think we'll just go down fighting. MM would kill us anyway.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

39 exclamation points. What is that a sign of? Insanity times 7.8?:crazyeye:

If anyone here is going to play for chaos in the SGOTM they need to go to the sign -up thread and sign up personally, because AlanH says that otherwise he won't let them in the game

I've been thinking about this - just imagine what sort of damage I could do with my 342m pp if I was, say, the warmonger!
But, wait! :mischief: I haven't tallied up my points, yet. You're forgetting the 343 million point deduction for ... well, I'll think of something

And, I'd have to give jeejeep a point for counting the exclamation marks! Although, I'm not going to count them myself to see if he really did count them. Well, maybe later tonight I will ... dang OCD.

Darn, I meant it to be 40 exclamation points.

Now I'm going to go pout... and watch gladiator!

Conroe, I'll let you make the pp menu to make sure it isn't unbalancing.

It's 40:

*couldn't get the pic to resize right on this pc ... ah screw it ... if you copy/paste to Word and do a stat check, it's 40 characters*

Technology is your friend :mischief:

Just signed up over in SGOTM thread. I was thinking we should try to surprise everyone, and actually go for the win. We could still have some chaotic fun though! :p
I think we should go for one of the prizes! Or are just going to make our write-ups chaotic?

I've been thinking about if this game ... do you consider that this game is a SG WIN (prob not), a SG VARIENT WIN (def yes) or some other definition of a win?

Totally a variant win, though I think that is the only way we can get to a win. I mean, obviously we lost. But we had fun in doing it and we all stuck to our assigned roles!

On SGOTM, everyone that's playing should be sure to sign up ASAP per this quote from AlanH:

@chriseay: No problem, but make sure your team mates do so as well. There's not much time left now.

Let's go for a win while still keeping the chaos somehow though.

Of course, this game is already a loss anyway ... Does it really matter? I will leave it up to Team Chaos. Is this something that you want to do?
Well, the voting is in ... and ... It's a tie!

Well, maybe ... I couldn't figure out Ruff_Hi's vote. Zalson voted against it, but did offer an alternative suggestion:

Zalson said:
It is supposed to be chaotic. How about you can redeem it for one random unit?
For
Munterpipe
Strauss

Against
ChrTh
Chriseay

Not Voting
JeeJeep
MinionJoe

I liked Zalson's suggestion. The problem, though, is Strauss isn't going to be satisfied with only one Modern Armor. How about a two item limit from the menu?

Honestly, Munterpipe, I don't know of a way to do this. There is no way that dropping a tank onto the battlefield isn't going to be unbalancing. We could limit the units to your technology, but what's the point? Since Catherine already has Artillery and is probably researching Infantry, and Chaos has some 700 turns before completing Chemistry.

Of course, Chaos is down to 2 cities. With the number of troops Cathy has, I'm not sure that Modern Armor will really help that much. :)

I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I feel like I got a variant win http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=159531&page=14 :D ... truly a happy day for the religious fanatic ...

In that case, we should probably change our name to "Team Chaotica" - not full on chaos, just ... oh I don't know ... something different?

Well, how I need lots of Modern Armors to micromanage:mischief:

BTW, I'm totally fine with anything the team decides on how the game ends. I'm just roleplaying a bit and adding to the Chaos;)!

What about this then. I was thinking of something more fun and chaotic than just dropping tanks on the battlefield. This will count for the entire Sgotm1 for Civ4.
Menu for use of prankster points.
(prankster points can only be granted by the present prankster. You can only spend as many prankster points as you are entitled on the last PP tally.)

2 pp: Strauss has got to change his avatar from Tokugawa to a picture of your choice  and keep it during the entire SGOTM1

4 pp: Create a signature for a chosen player that he has got to use.

5 pp: Choose a funny word that all the participants of Sgotm must incorperate at least once in every report.
(this is of course cumulative)

5 pp: Choose a player on team Chaos. That player has to play civ with pink interface.(edit in civscale)

I'm not sure that would work in the GOTM. If I understand civscale correctly, it works by modifying the XML. I believe the SGOTM will have the "locked assets" checked which may prevent the use of civscale. I'm not really sure, though.

The other issue, of course, is not everybody is on Team Chaos. IIRC, a couple of the players have signed up with other SGOTM teams.

I've got an answer for a word to use in every report.....but it's more of a sentence. (This one is for all of the baseball fans in the house.)

"Barry Bonds has a humongous head."

Ex.: Turn 3 - I built a warrior and then started a worker, who, like Barry Bonds, has a humongous head. Then Polytheism finished so I started on research for Monotheism. I want us to be the first to Judaism.

Maybe, to make it even more fun, each player could, at the end of his report, give the next player their word or phrase.

From memory - colour changing the interface doesn't affect the XML locked assets thing - I have played a locked game just fine. Removing the clouds DOES cause a change.
