Christmas Eve - what are your plans?

Well, it's Christmas Eve today and I am curious as to what other CFC'ers are going to be doing, as today normally see's people indulging in some celbrationairy activity (normally involving alcohol of course).

I personally am going to my girlfriend's for our own 'Christmas Dinner' (we both with seperate family's tommorow, though we will see each other in the morning) and this evening we will be going to the pub with a load of my friends

the hectic family things start tomorrow and dont end till thursday, god i hate how it drags on. half these people i dont even like but we have to go and be a nice family. Still, escaping to go to london during the week with friends, so that will take my mind of damned relatives.

Bake more cookies. (we got a late start this year after my aunt died in November)

Go to Christmas Eve services.

Probably open one small gift on Christmas Eve (sometimes we do that).

I'm gonna miss getting presents from my aunt.

Unfortuantely I have to work tonight.

After that I will be heading to the pub to get completely 'rat-arsed' before walking (well, stumbling really ) the four miles back to my house at two in the morning in sub-zero (celcius) temperatures. Unfortunately the later part is somewhat of a tradition. :shakehead

I'll be heading out to the city to brave the crowds and do alot of last minute shopping. I mostly know what I'm looking for and I know that my pocket book will be at least a grand lighter when I return home. Thats half of my net worth!!! And I'm going to love every minute of it (even though I gotta go to the city )

Since it i almost over for me, I will tell what I did. Basically I did some shopping and paid a bill that was due today. Not too exciting, but tomorrow is a much more important day.

Im going to get roaring drunk, do alot of screaming, fighting, public urination, vomiting and having crying jags, and generally make a complete ass of myself. Then my disgusted friends and acquaintances will have to manhandle me into a car, drive me home, and dump my sorry ass in front of the toilet, where I'll slip into unconsciousness, awakening periodically only to continue vomitting, until theres nothing left and it seems like my stomach lining is struggling to climb out of my mouth. You know, fun stuff.

My condolences on the death of your aunt Cheiftess. It is the holidays that make such bittersweet memories when you loose a loved one.

For my I will relax and spend some time with my family. My parents are up from Tennesee and they are coming for dinner.

This week, someone called the manager on me because I wouldn't let them buy one of yesterdays Mails that were piled by the door.

I'm pretty sure WHSmiths is the reason I find Christmas a trial rather than a pleasent break.

Christmas Eve update:

It would seem I'm going out later to celebrate something or other with freinds.

1. Finish buying presents.

2. Wrap all presents.

3. Come up with some witty cards to place unto presents.

4. Place presents in appropriate place.

5. Relax, and do other stuff.

Silent night, holy night, all is calm...

I might be going to midnight mass, but I'm not sure. We've gone to midnight mass every year - but this could be the year we don't.
