Cities: Skylines - Paradox Interactive Makes A SimCity

In other news, I found out that placing and then later removing as little as two water pumps can cause quite the surge and formation of waves in a small river:

I learned the same thing with the first water treatment pump. Fortunately the wave of poo water only inundated the railroad and one road intersection.

For those having the traffic in one lane problem, one thing that's been going around is the "pinch" which forces cars to use all lanes on one way roads:

Interview also explicitly confirms that tunnels and European buildings are being planned, presumably for one of the free update patch thingymajigs.

Actually I do believe they explicitly said both would be in free patches in the interview.

Someone need to make a building asset for the Parliament (of Canada) tho. My Parliament hill look wrong without at least the Peace Tower.

I've got 4 GB RAM and 2.7 GHz processor. Is this so bad that there's no point in getting this game?

Processor is "Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU"

Graphics card is apparantly "ATI Radeon HD 5450"

yea I'm not very tech-savvy :(

Does this tell you anything?

I don't think you can run this game:

CPU Minimum: Intel Core 2 Duo, 3.0GHz / AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+, 3.2GHz

Video Card VIDEO CARD
Minimum: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 260, 512 MB / ATI Radeon HD 5670, 512 MB

I managed to run it on my old computer which has worse specs than that at lowest settings ~10 fps, but I didn't play much so I don't know how it would've done with bigger cities.

Yep, wait until you have a better computer.

Crime's a little weird, innit?

I've got some 70k cims, never built a police station, and my crime rate hasn't hit 30% ever.

Don't educate your people so much. :p

Both crime and health could really use some base levels or diminishing returns and there should always be some people who don't go through all levels of education.

Shouldn't there be a point where my highly educated citizens turn to white collar crime in light of there being no police force?

Damn it, Paradox, why doesn't your criminal model include embezzlement, Ponzi schemes, and illegal file downloading?

Don't over educate them if you're planning to go for a farming district...I did that and now no one wants to work in the agricultural sector of my industry. Luckily, I have lots of oil in an island near by.
