I liked cIV, but now i guess i have to switch to Civ4 and Civ5, cIV vs ciV is just to error-prone. In fact, i usually just went with CIV when it was only cIV.

Or, in case i won't like Civ5, i may go with CIV vs civ5

Civ 5 usually, though somethimes it is Civilization 5, especially if may be taken wrong. “Civ5” is just looks like a typo or laziness.

And “CiV” style doesn't takes in account future of the series. Sure, we can have CiVI, CiVIl and even CiVIlI, but that's it, combo ends here. Also, I think that “cIV” and “ciV” seem more natural than their analogues with capital letters. More pronounced — “ciVI”, “ciVIl”, “ciVIlI”. But it is systemic failure anyway due to inevitable (and awesome) Civilization 9.
