South germany, the MAF is a bug which has been killing games of tousands of players since the release in November 2005, we're now in May 2007, and the MAF is still around. It was there already in Civ IV 1.00, in Civ IV 1.09, in Civ IV 1.52, in Civ IV 1.6x, in Civ IV Warlords , and now in Civ IV Warlords 2.08 it's still there, and the only thing i see is people still mention it, still complain, i personally get them on large games(UNMODDED) and while sending all my info to take2 support, including stack calls reports etc, the only thing those take2 guys tell me is that they don't understand c++, they don't understand stack calls, and whatever is causing the MAF, it's just my problem, not theirs..that's the true fact of take2 support...I offered them to use Radmin or Remote desktop and see for themself what happens on my computer(that i truly get a MAF on unmodded civ!) but they refuse, they say they don'
t want to give support on it..it's my problem and that of the tousand other players, and has been our problem ever since civ has been releeased in november 2005...give me any reason why after almost 2 years Hope, i should not loose hope by now and not beeing pessimistic?
All i see is that they release stuff to suck more money, but not adressing real bugs. all the bugs they ever fixed, were already fixed by the modding community anyway, the only thing the modding community can't fix are "exe" bugs like the MAF, yet here where we need true support they say:"your problem"...give me 1 statement from take2 where they say:"we will give you support" yeah, when you want to buy the game they promise you that, once you gave your money, you'll have 0,0 support..
sorry, but with civ3 my experience with firaxis was top! ever since take2 leads the branch, i only get NO support ..i hope take2 goes broke and they stop to exist and firaxis can continue the game on their way and i finally can contact people at firaxis and not have to talk to those people at take2 who say themself:"they don't understand programming languages" what kind of support is that?
