Civ IV: Beyond the Sword Info Center

HEY METHOS, THE OTTOMANS AREN'T A NEW CIV, SO UNBOLD THEM. Thanks. (I was counting the confirmed new civs and confused when I counted eight instead of seven, took me three recounts to get it right).

the 25 new units is exciting, but I'm worried about one thing:

Does each corporate stooge count as one unit? if so, and there are ten corporations, then there are five general new units, 10 UUs, and 10 salesmen. However, if there is only one unit for spreading corporations, there are 14 new general units (including the Great Spy, Privateer, paratrooper, mobile SAM, tactical nuke, cuirassier, and anti-tank gun).

Either way, every new preview makes me more excited to get it.

Nice thread Dude.

I would imagine this puppy HAS to work with Warlords.

Or am I naive? Let's hope it works with Vista too!

I wanna get Vista on my mac, so I hope it does too. :hmm: But I'm still a die hard Mac User! :trophy:

Never mind, I read that the "executive" is one unit for corporations on the info center. Good.
Also, I think it will take a great spy to build the intelligence agency as their unique building. So I don't think of that as a "wonder" Maybe they have some national wonders like the Sydney Opera House or CN Tower?

Whoops, my mistake. Thanks for the notification.

This is getting better and better. I can hardly wait to get the expansion.

Another thing: In the interview Tim McCracken says Sitting Bull will try to take his neighbours over with culture, which implies he'll be probably be Protective/Charismatic. This and the archer-improving UB should make him an extremely annoying early neighbour...

How does it imply he'll be protective/charasmatic?

He could be protective/creative..that trait combo is open.
They could move existing leaders as well, and he could be protective/spiritual.
This is all speculation, I don't feel any of it is implied.

Oops, I meant Creative...what was I thinking ?
Saladin is Protective/Spiritual and I don't think they'll change traits for existing leaders again.

i'm currently in a stage where i cant play video games....
as soon i do... i am going to purchase BTS

I CANNOT WAIT!:hammer2: :wallbash: :woohoo:

Methos..is that picture from Gamespot of Gilgamesh or Hammurabi? I can't find confirmation of this anywhere.

He's got the Hanging Garden in the background, so I think he's most likely Hammurabi of the Babylonians.

Compare it to the leaderheads of Hammurabi and Gilgamesh from Civ3:

Look at their beards. :) The first two pics are more alike.

@Thunderfall...

...I thought it was supposed to be Hammurabi, but I thought I read on the front page, and again on the BtS Screenshots section that it was labeled Gilgamesh. Was these labeled differently originally, or am I just reading way to many civ articles today?
