Cleo's nonverbal communication skills are on point. Qin looks like a talking toad. And he's kind of whiny.

Wanted to point out one thing: rules are bad both here and in the theme thread. Number of people is too low for it to work well. If there are 100 posts per day then ok but if there are only several people voting then one person can eliminate theme/leader very quickly, that's why I stopped voting in the theme thread. There should be some restrictions like: you have to vote 50% (maybe 33% or something) of remaining positions first before you are allowed to vote the same position again.

I have also thought about implementing something like this, but it would become impractical once the pool had narrowed down more. Also IDK if OP has the ability to modify the rules of the game, if mods would be OK with it, or if changing the rules midway through is good sportsmanship. If all of these hurdles are cleared, I'm glad to put such a restriction on the theme thread. Also, if you think the number of people voting is too low then you could be well served to resume voting.

I'm not going to hammer on Trajan too hard, but I really don't think his agenda makes much strategic sense. A hegemonic power that cheers on rapidly expanding rivals is not going to be a hegemon for long. Why does he congratulate me for usurping him?

Peter the Great = 19 (18+1)
I like the idea of focusing Peter on playing catchup with science and culture. Gives us a leader who is actually focused on economy, which is nice considering all the leaders that throw a hissy fit if you don't burn down enough villages.

My feelings towards religious nuts are conflicted. For example, I totally bought both Isabellas from Civ 4 and Civ 5. But this one seems somewhat off-putting. Maybe it's because of the giant crown?

Oh, and corrected the spelling of Hojo Tokimune.

I think the complaint is too subjective. Who says there isn't enough people voting? As long as people stick to the 24 hour thing; they should be able to vote for the same leaders/themes. Maybe they don't like/dislike anyone else. And I say that as someone who has spread my votes around. Why should any of us watch our fav leader go down if we have a legitimate vote we can cast for them?
All that and K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid - not that I'm calling anyone stupid ;) )

Pedro II = 14 - 3 = 11 [Looks like a cartoon, nothing worthy of the real Pedro II who was dignified, melancholy, and truly awe-inspiring in his accomplishments and bravery.]

I recognized Pedro II in Civ V, but his representation here is not very good and doesn't really seem to resemble him at all. John Curtin, on the other hand, is well depicted and I actually enjoy running into him in game.

Phillip II = 14 + 1 = 15 - I love the way he swings that sword around and acts like he's the most dashing rogue who ever lived. Sure, he looks little like the historical Philip, and he acts even less like him (by all accounts a reserved and quiet man), but the character is charming enough. Same reason I tolerate Cleopatra and Catherine de Medici; their in-game characters are likable enough to overlook what poor choices they were.
Gilgamesh = 21 - 3 = 18 - He looks as Assyrian as the rest of his civilization, except on top of that he looks ridiculous. The "mountain of muscle" look just doesn't work for him.

While I'm still salty over Brazil's inclusion in the base game I do like the design of Pedro's threads. Mostly because it reminds me of glorious supreme ultimate ruler for life El Presidente of the wonderful People's Republic of Tropico. Very tinpot dictator-y, which is a weakspot of mine as I've always had a very strong interest in those kinds of characters. (not saying Pedro is a tinpot dictator, just that he's dressed as one and has the beard to match)

Victoria's chin bothers me. It is too small for her head. Also the breathy and drawn out way she talks just annoys me to no end. Lastly the backdrop is just... a mess.

Cat is too much sly character to go yet.
I quite like Gorgo...but her eye lids freak me out! The ones on the bottom of her eyes. Also...she habitually compliments me not long before declaring war on me! I feel confused...

Curtin looks pretty decent in my opinion. A few people have complained he looks boring, but he could actually have looked much less interesting; he could have been wearing a generic suit and tie instead of the waistcoat, and not even have had the hat (and I think his hat is pretty cool).

Because they went for an Aardman character style for him, Pedro doesn't look much like any pictures of the real leader, and his hair is the wrong color (Same problem applies to Phillip II).

Not sure if my 24 hours are up yet, but I simply make one post every day, a day being "the time between two times of sleeping".

Still hate Qin Shi Huang because he always hates me. Still think Jadwiga is cute and should win, even though I am aware Cyrus etc are great too. (about Cyrus... I met him yesterday... And within 30 turns after he was gone. Don't declare a formal war on Australia in the ancient era if you want to live...)

Teddy Roosevelt = 22
Saladin = 21
John Curtin = 8
Pedro II = 3 - 3 = 0 ELIMINATED! For me, he's one of the most excessively cartoonish leaders - reminds me of Disney's Goofy. Time for him to go...
