- Gran Colombian palace?

The palace that is used in the game in Bogotá for (Gran) Colombia clearly has the influence of the Spanish colonial government buildings that were centred around a central courtyard. I would say that the in-game palace could be based on the Palace of San Carlos in Bogotá before various neoclassical modifications were made to it later on. This palace began being built in colonial times with the traditional central courtyard of Spanish Colonial architecture and was used later on as the official residence of the president of the Republic of Colombia from 1827 to 1908, when the current presidential palace was built. Simón Bolívar lived in this palace for a short time.

That or is just simply based more broadly on the traditional 19th century architecture of the region.

Sources: I'm from Bogotá

I am fascinated by the implication in S. A. Whitehead's art that Nubia was possibly intended to have a Holy Site replacement rather than a unique infrastructure. It could have been much more interesting, I think.
That's in the game from the Gifts of the Nile scenario.

...oh. This I did not know! I avoid playing the scenarios because they are not quite the game I signed up for with Civilisation 6. On the other hand, my desire remains unchanged! Another unique Holy Site would be nice. At least the asset is there.
I haven't played it (or any of the other scenarios except the Viking one once), either. I wouldn't be surprised that there's a mod that adds it to the game; it would look nice for Egypt or Nubia.

Would work well with another leader, such as Akenhaten, getting a unique Holy Site. :mischief:

Cheers this makes a lot of sense, the building looks very similar to the ingame model (the palacio de San Carlos) - Oh and that's the best kind of source that you're from Bogota of course. I started to appriciate Latin American history thank's to Civ6 ^^ (I wonder what Brazil's palace is based on, and what they would have used for a Mexican and/or Argentina Civ)
