The unique palaces are a minor yet pleasing feature in Civ 6. I'm interested in knowing what real life buildings inspired these palaces and if anyone has any idea to please let me know.

The best palace to look at is the one I have and not the ones I'm about take from the other civs.

I picked Poland. When I noticed it didn't have the generic European palace (which according to someone, is based on a real building in Romania), I was excited.

I took screenshots of the City-States just to figure out which palaces they have. I remembered Nan Madol had an East Asian palace.

It's so weird Brazil shares the same Palace as the Aztecs. I think sharing America's or the generic European palace would have been a better choice.

I fully agree. I also voted for Polish palace. By the way, I really like Japanese palace, too.

And about Brazil, I was also quite surprised to see that Brazilian palace is something resembling a Mesoamerican pyramid. But, if I remember well, European music was playing if you played as Brazil in Civ V, right?

I hadn't noticed there were so many unique forms. Neat.

Thank you @sonicmyst, I've updated the original post.

I hope that we will keep getting the unique palaces in future DLCs and expansions, as I really do think they are very pleasing to the eye.
I quite wonder how could look palace for a Native American Civ...
...or Mongolia...
...Zulus...
...Indonesia...
...Portugal...
...Carthage...

...well, there are many Civs lacking, and many space for unique palaces to be added.

Ornate castle for Bohemian palace!

I didn't realise Nubia had its own palace! It's lovely. My personal favourite is probably Poland's, but this is just another really nice touch with this game's art.

It is very weird that Brazil shares the palace with the Aztecs. Brazil has no cultural or historical link with the Mesoamerican cultures.

A colonial-style building would be more appropriate, like this one of the 18th century:

Or similar to this museum:

Hmmm, I was pretty sure Brazil used US style of capital.

Post a modern screenie of Brazil?

edit: as an aside, and I understand its too micro for most, but I wish you could place each structure where you wanted, a la sim city.

Say, Bucharest isn't a city-state this time, is it? Pretty sure it was one in V. Wonder if that means anything.

Probably not, though.

@agonistes Ill try to find one, but to my knowledge it is indeed the same palace the Aztecs used.

@Arianrhod @Guandao The Polish Castle seems to be based on Moszna Castle.
