I don't think i like this new victory condition. Wouldn't it mean that it would be possible to win the domination victory without fighting a single battle? If civ E get island start far away from everyone else, and the rest fight each other such that they all lose their capital (e.g. A capture B, C, and D's capital, then B captures A's capital), E will suddenly win the game?
I find it a little screwy too. Peter Murray said in the crapcast yesterday that it's happened to him, and I read in one of the other previews or reviews about it happening. So it doesn't seem THAT rare. Probably situations where several AIs are going for domination and manage to sack each others caps.
The brady guide says if you're doing for domination and let your capital get taken, you might as well give up and go for something else, because you pretty much just ruined your chance at domination.
I'm very surprised to see that all of the world wonders (with the exception of only two) give only one culture. Why so little culture from all world wonders?
Seems odd to me too, that a wonder gives less culture than a monument (or any generic culture structure). Then stonehenge of all things is EIGHT culture. Maybe it's due to lack of upkeep costs. Usually you're paying for culture.
Some people are bothered that they put the words "pissed off" in a manual for a game with Nuclear Missiles, Giant Death Robots and an objective to destroy all other civilizations on the planet?
This is very reflective of our (USA) culture. Killing, murder, adultery, death, child abuse, rape, destruction - are all common in TV, books, movies, games, etc - but foul language is a no no. It's all very silly.
