Civ6 Live stream in 12 mn (3PM EST)

I totally called unique districts.

I wonder how will unique districts be balanced, though. As they're an alternative to an unique building, which may only be just a more powerful version of one of the districts buildings. Maybe if you can only have one copy of that district.

I'm sure it's just the base yields and the adjacent modifiers that are unique to it. Maybe some will be fortified too unlike their normal counterparts?

examples:

- Rome: military district may build both barracks and stable. Or starts with walls.
- Germany: industrial district gets better adjacency bonuses for being next to strategic resources
- Arabia: commerical district next to luxuries provide extra copy of those luxuries

etc.

So, America:

UA1(permanent): Combat bonus in their continent.
UA2(specific era): Rough Riders
UU: P-51 Mustang
UB: Film Studio

Did I get this right?

I would say:

UA1(permanent): Combat bonus in their continent.
UA2(specific era - Tied to leader): Rough Riders
UU: P-51 Mustang
UB: Film Studio

Their wording made it sound like that if they added a new leader for a civ, then the UA2 would get switched out along with the old leader.

I would say that the UA1(permanent) is more likely to be tired to the leader as it ties in with Roosevelt's agenda of the big stick policy (I think that the agendas are being tied to the leaders as well).

They noted it was rough riders tied to leader as they want game-long bonuses to always be tied to the permanent civ ability. This is also why the Chinese worker unique style are tied to the Chinese leader and not the civ unique because they can only rush build ancient and classical wonders.

We will have:

Unique Ability
Leader Unique
Unique Unit
Unique Infrastructure

And of course, Leader Agenda

Welp, there goes my hope of a non-military focused America, but it should be still fun to play. I may have to start with China this time because I love building wonders.

I believe he mentioned they have more about America unique ability that they weren't ready to share yet. Can't quite recall the wording, but there is hope.

Great! If not, well, at least America will be fairly powerful on a Pangea map. :D

Anyway, I can't wait until we find out more about the rest of the civs.

You're right. He said that the Rough Riders are "a bit part of" the leader era bonus, and fighting on the America's continent is the second part of Teddy's bonus. So:

America UA: Unknown;
Teddy UA: Rough Riders; Bonus fighting on home continent;
UU: P-51 Mustang;
UI: Film Studio.

China UA: Unknown;
Qin UA: Builders have 1 extra charge; Builders can rush wonder construction;
UU: Unknown;
UI: Great Wall.

not sure if it is known yet but in the video an improvement or district was pillaged by a bomber

I got distracted while they were talking about pillaging. Did they say that you have to pillage a district building by building? It was when he was talking about Vienna.

I don't think Ed really meant to reveal anything about America at all really, so I agree that there might be some details we're missing. I think revealing the part about combat bonus on the home continent was a slip up resulting from David saying the information was already up when actually only the names and images of the uniques are online.

Yes.

Not weird at all. Facebook and Twitter post pretty much the same thing and Quill is pretty much their Livestream guy.

He's not going to any Civ events, he's busy with that Heart of Iron game or wahtever.

Quill18 is traveling to San Fransisco, apparently.

Interesting location. ;)
