Civ6 Live stream in 12 mn (3PM EST)

Confirmed: You can have the night/day cycling or just set a one time for it.

Tank unit looks Sherman
Artillery like British WW1 howitzer
Battleship like early Dreadnought type

Cool detail: entertainment district shoots a firework into sky :)

Ed Beach just teased that espionage is different. He said he is a big fan of James Bond and Jason Bourne and that players will send spies out on missions. I wonder if that means spy units will be back or just that the missions now are much more diverse than in civ5.

I love the leader screens, better than previous Civs. Although Teddy has eaten quite a lot of freedom fries..

The battle animations look more detailed, more frames to them than Civ 5. Quite fast though.

The flat background images are a pure downgrade from V. So horribly ugly.

Wow that was a lot of gooood info! Look at the modern era! This game looks fantastic, I loved how all the city districts formed together and how the modern cities looked!

I was hoping and expecting to see more than 18 civs this time around.

But I'm really liking everything else, so far.

I wonder who's getting cut from launch this time. Probably Siam and Songhai. Also, I guess this means no Spain, or Inca at launch.
They've said before that they thought about TSL world maps with regards to the geographical distribution of the initial included civs... This makes me think that Inca must be in, as how else could they fill up South America?

Spain would be beneficial for a Religious bonus this time around so I wouldn't give up on it ust yet.

Also I'm glad Cleopatra doesn't look nearly as bad as some previewers made her out to be.

The way he said civs that haven't been done before, I'm gonna call 2. That's enough for him to have used a plural "civs", but not more.

We've already seen Jerusalem as a CS so not Israel, probably Canada and if I had to guess Australia

yep: Feels very alive! And furthermore you saw that available tiles WILL become rare in late game, you really have to look for it!

Concerning policy bonuses - From the screen it looked like you have plenty plenty plenty of cards you can use... Let's hope indeed the bonuses actually MEAN something! :)

And concerning the leaderscreens: I understood that some of you don't like them and some do. I do like them. As I ALWAYS state when it comes to graphics: question of taste. Can we settle on that and focus on the new info, pls? :king:

Yeah, modern cities look like true metropolises now. And with districts on the map, stalingrad type urban warfare is possible in civ6. I love seeing the units pillaging districts. You really get the sense that a modern war is wrecking your land and infrastructure.

Hey guys another load of new screenshots for you!

Here we see new previously unconfirmed wonders like the Venetian Arsenal, and the Terracotta Army!

We also now know that:

- Spies work differently and can do James Bond-esque missions
- There are confirmed to be 18 Civs in the initial line up including some never before seen Civs.

Civ seems to cycle through SEA civs, so I'm guessing this time around we're going to be seeing Vietnam. I think we're also going to get a new Native American tribe that we haven't seen before. If they like to look out for personality, the American north has plenty to choose from:

- Chief Shakes of the Tlingit
- Henri Membertou of the Wabanaki
- Poundmaker of the Cree
- Crowfoot of the Blackfoot

Also I'm glad Cleopatra doesn't look nearly as bad as some previewers made her out to be.
She looks icily sexy imo... Looking forward to clanging my spear against her shield, so to speak. :mischief: (Although her amforae do look like they sag a bit... Ok ok I'll get my cloak before I get sued for harassment :p)

I think it will be more actually. TSL was a topic before... Even more civs from the previous iterations that won't make the first cut... :hmm:
