Civ6 Live stream in 12 mn (3PM EST)

Ah, first live stream that I actually caught live, but of course I struggled half the stream to make it work... But nothing new so.

Not much new in the interview... but something I had noticed earlier

Warrior
10 str +5 str v. spear/pike

Pike
?? str + 10 str v. melee

not % bonuses but flat str bonuses

(so it will be particularly significant if there is another source of % bonuses)
The combat odds calculator appears to be bugged in this video -- it's claiming that all units have a 5 base strength -- so I wouldn't worry too much about those numbers.

Well the point is they weren't +50% v X bonuses it was +5 v X bonuses

for those of us who had to work today...

is there a way to see these videos again?

ok from the new IGN vid I got the Shipyard info and the Wonder info for the Colosseum, did anyone grab anything else

The civ6 video is available in the thread or just do a quick yt search.

Dont really see the point in watching the same stuff multiple times with a different interviewer

Well, the interviewers do ask different questions and Ed Beach sometimes divulges some new information in his answers. It's fun to learn new stuff about the game, little by little. :)

Footage is the same but what he is asked and the additional comments he makes during them are normally different.

EDIT: Meh, took so long for this comment to post, others already said pretty much the same thing.

Second Edit: Wow, that IGN footage is way better than it was in the stream or the other YouTubes I have seen before.

But on the other hand in 2016 people should be wary of developer talk. Between what they say, what we think they said, the picture we make of it and the reality there are too many differences to really pay attention.

Only gameplay footage counts as far as I'm concerned. Also why I prefer let's plays to reviews.

I wonder if the Facebook stream could be the Q&A.

I recorded it for myself while I was seeing it. Yeah, not perfect, it was my first time ^^u. I closed Skype, but forgot about Steam. Also, I don't know why that "recording" bar didn't go away. Still, It's in 1080p (at least, that's how I tried to record it), so if it helps anyone...

Well, obviously we have to be careful. There were some big promises made in the last iteration which weren't delivered on, such as it being the most modable Civ ever, a big sloppy kiss to the hardcore fans, etc.

I think everyone on here would appreciate new gameplay footage but in the absence of that, there is still much to be learned. :)

On the Civilization Facebook page:

Sorry, no Civilization V livestream with Quill18 today. He's traveling.

Interesting. :)

Not really. He's just occupied with the three day long MP stream of HoI4.;)

Could be. Seems a little strange that the Civ Facebook page would announce that, however.
