CivDip XVI: Clash of the Titans

Unless the "Last Online" feature in our public profiles is somehow untrustworthy, I see that Dreadnought was online today...maybe his mouse works but his keyboard's broke?

Dreadnought! You okay?

So we know Dreadnought is not likely to be able to finish GMing this game.

Are you guys finished with it, or do you plan to take KoC up on his offer to GM the rest of the way (assuming the offer is still open).

<some tumbleweed tumbles by>

I have no objections to continuing. I do have Civ IV now, so I won't shed any tears if this one goes by the wayside...

If the GM has lost interest I think the game is over. I hear by proclaim myself King of Europe...

Steps up and crowns himself.

I had fun. Too bad the game crapped out though. I had lots more surprises in store for you guys (well some of you guys some other of you are in on it!!!!)

Check the arriving leaving thread. He hasn't lost interest; he's lost access (at least, that's my interpretation).

Actually Neville, we have seen replacement GM's come in to the rescue before. I came in when the one GM had to leave for the summer...

well then I could check back from time to time but this has been a rather long hiatus with some of hte players not posting in a very long time.

I'll continue if all other players wish, but I have little interest in doing so. The game surely belongs to either Austria or France, most likely Austria.

My interest is low to none (having only just joined as a doomed replacement), but I'll play if anyone really wants to keep going.

Oh I didn't really have too much trouble understanding your actions, I just wanted to get you to intimate that you would be stabbing Turkey soon so as to get him on my side.

Always playing that is why I love this game!

But I don't know if you yet see the whole picture as my plans have been stalled due to the enexpected delay/end of the game.

Well, With France and Germany looking like they were going to go, I thought I should come over the top on Russia. But that fell apart when Germany didn't back me up and deny Russia Sweeden. Germany continued to ignore my requests, so I turned on him. Then When France felt secure enough, they started to screw me over. That's basically England's EoG report...

Russia was doing several games simultaneously as well as RL committments and spent almost no time on Diplomacy. Russia also made the fool mistake of being purposefully blind to English intentions, because it felt bad for having destroyed Gnarf in the past couple games and didn't want to kill Gnarf again. Further, Russia got complacent, thinking it had a good solid puppet-state in Austria and completely underestimating the ambition of the Archduke. Then, Russia failed to adequately convince the Turk he was about to be stabbed, resulting in an aborted attempt to repulse the invaders. That was pretty much it for me.

Revolutionary Russian EOG"

Soviet Russia claims equal share in the draw to this conflict! Long live the Revolution!

That is all.

If I had realised that Russia would die so fast I probably wouldn't have attacled you. :mischief:
