I come from Nebraska (Greatest State in the Union and best football), so football was shoved down my throat very early in life...
But I am 6'5 195 (I was in the same size in high school) and played either reciever or quarterback in school. As I had no desire to get crushed by angry defensive linemen, I decided to play reciever and get blasted by pissed off linebackers and safeties.
But I am a bit skinny for my height, and was not big enough for football (Plus you RUN the ball in Nebraska) IMO.
Basketball was for me frustrating because I was the tallest kid in my school and was forced to play Center. Well my weight and strength weren't up to par with bangin' down on the blocks with guys who outweighed me by forty pound. So I became a small forward with a nice 15 to 18 foot range. Since I have been in the Army, I have played alot and am a pretty fair basketball player.
Golf... I love it. But I refuse to buy clubs (I had some clubs given to me
) and I NEED them to get better as the ones I have are to FRIGGIN SHORT!!! At least that's my excuse!!!
Baseball: Probably my favorite sport to play, but it's hard to get eighteen guys together for a game
. I was a pitcher in high school (82 mph fastball, good split fingered fastball, decent control) but could only throw about 30 pitches before my arm would threaten to fall off
. So I played first base, and was our teams closer.
Boxing: Tried boxing with a friend who was really good at it... Big mistake. I looked at it as a sport, and he looked at it as an oppotunity to put me on my ass
. Anyway, he pretty much beat the crap outta me, and we remain friends, although he still offers for a rematch. (IMO boxing is the toughest sport, physically and mentally)
Hockey and Soccer... Never got into them at all. Soccer pisses me off 'cause people like to trip and such, and hockey is a bit too rough for my knees (Plus I can't skate!)
I am in pretty good shape (due to P.T. every morning
) but am feeling age more and more after a good long run or hard workout.

I'm so tired of being tired... Sure as night will follow day... Most things I worry about, never happen anyway...
