Civilization 7 HAS BEEN REVEALED!

it has a section for "SteamOS + Linux" in the system requirements on steam, maybe that means itll have native linux support on launch ? If so i hope its not an abysmal port like the one for civ 6 is (im on Linux and playing the windows version, it runs way way better)

I will say the reveal trailer was a lot less 'cartoonish' than the Civ VI reveal trailer. I guess we can all read in to that however we like.
This is the trailer they used when they first announced Civ6. The announcement trailer for Civ7 definitely looks like they've put in more effort.

Interestingly on the Steam page it says full controller support. (I guess for the Steam Deck as well).

FYI Civ VI does not have this.
Instead the console version is actually different, with a more compact UI that is navigable by controllers.

"Requires 3rd-Party Account: 2K Account" is definitely new. I guess they are done with the carrot (Julius Caesar, Scout Cat) and are going with the stick. Hopefully it's for a good reason (ie full cross-platform/console play) but I suspect not.
Maybe, but I wouldn't read too much into that. Steam pages often have incorrect information about accounts, EULAs, and 3rd-party DRM until closer to launch. Sometimes, even after launch!

That looks like some kind of giveaway.
Giveaways/unlockables maybe attached to the 2K account.

Like they did with Civ: Beyond Earth.

Not an internet connection.

Just FYI Marvel's Midnight Suns stores its saves online. So for example I can continue my game on my Steam Deck. It's pretty nifty.
Maybe Firaxis are going Unreal with Civ VII 😏
